End of this year i planned to travel somewhere close from Jakarta for few days. Finally i touch down in Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra. It took about 45 minutes by flight. This city sure famous by the fish cake and many food destination too. Don't forget spot we must visit should be the giant red bridge or called Ampera Bridge.

As heard of, Cassis is one of recommended fine dining restaurant spotted in Central Jakarta. I may say it has nice and beautiful place, especially they set much of glowing lights, Christmas decoration during this Holy month.

It has become one of trend food happening in town. Nowadays, it has come out in many various choices. Martruckbucks is one of Martabak store where they are offering various of modern martabak with unique fillings. The place is considered not so big, but it does show up the typical Indonesian martabak modest outlet. With wooden chairs and tables and dominant bright blue color all around the place.

During weekday, this area was not crowded as the weekend. Usually we need to take a quite time looking for parking space during end of week. I was not alone, this time i went here with some friends from  Pergi Kuliner. It is an app that has looking for restaurant feature in some of town in Indonesia. This app sure does helps me to find any information about restaurant and how are people share their experienced during their diningmoment. We visited the Bienvenue, the exclusive restaurant with lounge & bar concept. The interior is looks classy and many photo frame in different shape hanging on wall also there's a huge and tall rack fulled by many kind of wines.

As you may read in my previous posts, i have been visited this place for couple of times. But this time, i am going to try different tenants that i never had before. At Afternoon, this place is quite hot, especially during this kind of weather, unpredictable sun or rain. Just like usual, we are offered by various of foods from different outlets. Started from House of Hog, who offer various kind of dishes made from main ingredient, Pork.

Not only in Jakarta, just like a cosey island, Belitung, also don't missed this trend too. Sate Banditz actually just been grand opening a few days ago. Built in japanese concept with beautiful interior which is it couldn't resist us to take a picture.

Pablo is come from Osaka, Japan where it also happened many people are so excited to take on queue to purchase a cheesetart. This thing also on going in Jakarta, at Gandaria City Mall. Start by morning untuk evening, we could see a long line of queue and surely crowded. Apparently i got number 21, which is it become a good opportunity for me to don't have wait too long. Of course, i have been arrived here since 7.00am morning.

During Lunch time, this restaurant sure has quite many customers and as we know, this mall also happening seems so.

Just like this one, D Village Food Center is spotted across the Neo Soho Building. As heard, this place is quite newly opened. Not so huge as typical food court, i think about 4-5 tenants in here. In this chance,  it happen FoodEnak, one of culinary app platform has been organizing a competition for reviewers and bloggers as well. It is just simple way to join this. They have private dining room, able to filled up by about 10 persons i guess. But sadly, during day light, it is bit hot even though there's an aircond. Not only in capital city Jakarta, in Bandung also happening this trend too. One new spot i found recently Makan Doeloe . Makan means eat and Doeloe is old times in classic pronunciation. From across the street, we could noticed this place by huge singage with really bright lights. Even during rain evening.

But apparently this time, i found a great spot where we could enjoy the arts, view also food too.  Nuart Park is spotted at Jalan Setraduta Raya around Bandung area. It is located inside the housing estate area, so for easier, you might need to use a map or something to get there.

Talking about fashion, maybe it is not my expert. But i do have an interest in this field. Recently i had been invited to one fashion show at Central Jakarta. It is called La Storia del Banchetto which is represented the story of the banquet. I guess banquet has become fashion trend in town nowadays. This event has been collaborated by Indonesia local brand, (X) S.M.L which is you could spotted this brand around malls with one of popular restaurant in town, Pancious which famous by the various lovely pancake.

After Indonesian, Western, Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Korean food, now we may also enjoy the Filipino food which is not really common in town. Several years ago, i had been worked overseas where i've met many filipino friends out there.  What's on my mind is, Filipino food sure has different authentic seasoning and taste among other Southeast Asia countries. While the other has spicy, salty taste, Filipino food has sweet and creamy flavor. One of Filipino Restaurant here is Astig. In Tagalog, it means Cool or something related with awesome.

Last month, i had been invited to one eatery located at Tanjung Duren, where we know this place used to have bad gridlock all day. Kedai Ndoro Ayu Dewi, (kedai means shop, Ndoro Ayu Dewi is a typical name of woman from Java island). It is a modest eatery without an exclusive interior and it is semi outdoor. During daylight, it is quite hot when sun bright out there. But i could handle it good that time. They are offering various of typical Indonesian food with secret family recipe. The main star here is the Cheese Rendang . Normally, we know Rendang is a stewed beef with thick spices and seasoning. But now, we may enjoy it with the delish cheese too. It is quite entertaining i think.

Last month, i have been gone to Singapore. In purpose to look for bunch of Michelin Star restaurant. Apparently i have try some of hawker center food also fine dining as well. Among those, i also have chance to visit non michelin star spot around Marina Bay Sands. One of the luxurious place in Singapore with various of fashion brand also popular restaurant. Just exploring through all the corner, you would see this restaurant really stand out from far away, Superheroes Cafe.

Another Exclusive hotel restaurant we may visit is Sheraton where it is connected direct to Gandaria City Mall. This hotel also quite famous in town since long time ago. One of dining spot here is called Anigré. This restaurant sure has luxury white elegant concept all over the place. With huge window closed by the long curtain sure give the white clean ambiance. And most stunning here is the presentation of various desserts just like the glass round tower.

Recently, It has been opened new hang out spot around Jakarta. South Quarter is Office building in multi function concept with unique building structural. Other than business development, it also has culinary spot as well. last week i had been invited to one Padang restaurant grand opening in here. Sahaja Padang, it is one of restaurant offering various of authentic modern Padang cuisines. It has been one of my favorite list of food hunting. Padang is famous with various of spices or seasoning with authentic style that you would never found in another kind of foods.

Nowadays, we may hundreds of cafe or any fancy restaurant with modern concept. But even so, i do still admired with homemade food or modest eatery with authentic or typical style of food. Recently i had been invited to one eatery located at food courts around West Jakarta. Seven 8 Nine is spot where has many eatery outlet with various choices. It is built in modern concept with semi outdoor area. Great thing here, we may found wide parking space at here. The eatery invited me is called Amei Chinese Food. As by the name, i am sure you would assume this is chinese local eatery. In fast, yes it is! Amei chinese food is offering various of typical home foods represented the Hokkian or Taiwanese style of cooking mixed with Indonesian sense.

Martabak, A classic Indonesian typical pancake with various of fillings. Nowadays we have many kind of martabak in different shape, start from the classic one, pizza slices or even now roll martabak. One of spot i could recommended in around Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta. As you know this street is fulled of eatery with various of cuisines. No wonder almost every moment, this street absolutely have heavy gridlock on the street. Actually Martabak Akim has been opened for quite time, i couldn't remember though when exactly my first visit here. Now it stand along together with other outlet as well.

This lately, out town has been poured by rain like almost everyday. Surely this is not a great weather for hang out. As that, i also craving alot for warm soup or anything hot dish to mild the body. Been a while haven't visit the Mall Ciputra, one of hang out spot aside with the famous university in town. I noticed there's a bunch of new shops also restaurant i haven't seen at last visit. One of casual dining i do interested is this Korean spot with bright and modern concept.

Even though nowadays Coffee shop has been popular among the youth, but in fact, restaurant with bar concept sure are still up these time. Many bar around south Jakarta sure really alive especially during weekend night. One of spot i could recommended is spotted in Gandaria City mall. Munchies is located here at ground floor where it is clearly you can see when pass through the food street area.

Recently i have been visited one of luxury hotel with 5 stars rate around Kuningan area. Raffles Hotel has been stunning stand out aside the Lotte Shopping Avenue mall. As luxury hotel, they sure have beautiful and elegant concept built inside. 

Talking about Chinese food, i am sure never bored with this kind of cuisines. Various of dish with great ingredients also seasoning sure make a delicate food creation. Nowadays, we may found many Chinese restaurant start from street food, hawker centre or an exclusive dining as well. One of exclusive dining i may recommended is Li Feng, last week at chance of invitation by Zomato meetup i have been invited to this restaurant located at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Central Jakarta. I guess most of you should be known with this hotel which is stand out stunning around the central roundabout. actually this restaurant just opened about couple of months in this year. Recently it also has been new trend in town among the foodies also other people as well.

Bandung could be one of favorite destination for you food hunter. Nowadays, Bandung has much differences than couple years ago. It has many of hang out park with various of unique concept and of course, there's a many cafes and restaurant opens up. don't forget coffee shop that has been trending amongs peoples.  I found one new spot in Bandung with really high enthusiasm in social media. 180 coffee, where it has been happening on Instagram. So do i attracted with this place as well.  Actually before them, it has been opened many of unique coffee shops around Bandung. But what really special here, they have a bunch of water pool around the cafe where you could enjoy the coffee while playing on water.

Another choice of worldwide cuisines in town is Korean food. It sure has different concept and ingredients using among the other Asia countries. Even though Japanese food has been more popular, Korean food also following the trend in town nowadays. Especially when K-pop is booming down the world. One of Korean restaurant i may recommended is Chung Gi Wa. Actually they have been opening several branches in town. In main concept, Chung Gi Wa is specialized in Korean grilled food. But they also offering other various Korean Cuisines e.g. Bimbimbap, jigae and many others.

Another Hawker Centre in Singapore is Ala Turka. Built up in Middle Easter concept and has been in recommendation list by Michelin Star as well. This is looks like small eatery bussiness down the street with bunch of seats out of the eatery. But during dinner time, i had to wait about 30 minutes since all tables are fulled by customers. Since already there, i just have to wait to taste what kind of food they have. After quite time, finally i may have a seat at outdoor space. Sky at night seems going to be rain, but luckily it did not. First my order was a Middle eastern appetizer known as Meze Platter . It is a huge plate with many variant of small dishes that i couldn't mention all the ingredients. It consisted by many elements and taste also seasoning. It served along with huge pita bread, some of taste i really like it. But some other i couldn't take it since it is too strong and which is really different with asia taste. Still talking about Michelin Star, now i'd like to mention another restaurant with one Michelin Star. When you visit Sentosa, Singapore, i guess this is one of recommended spot you must visit while at there. For easy way, you may take the shuttle bus from front of casino than you have to walk about 30-40 minutes away. This restaurant is spotted at the Equarius hotel actually. This is one of hotel in Sentosa. However, Forest is Chinese concept restaurant with forest as the theme. As i saw there's a sculptures around the ceiling with huge pillar in tree shape. Then all over the room light up by beautiful blue and purple lights color.

Weeks ago i went to Singapore again. Of course many food list on journal at this moment as well. Recently, many restaurant & eateries in singapore have been rewarded by the famous Michelin Star which is standard of restaurant quality in worldwide. I must say this is really exciting, even some hawker centre area in Singapore like chinatown.
