Arts Cafe, Raffles Hotel, Jakarta

Recently i have been visited one of luxury hotel with 5 stars rate around Kuningan area. Raffles Hotel has been stunning stand out aside the Lotte Shopping Avenue mall. As luxury hotel, they sure have beautiful and elegant concept built inside. 

All over the restaurant covered up by brown color start from the floor, wallpaper also the couches and chairs. I found out a strong elegant theme here with exclusive ambiance.

Arts Cafe is all you can eat restaurant sure with many variant of foods. Among those, there's a counter where you could have special dishes of the day. During early dinner time, place was still quiet so i took it time to shoot 5 kind of special dish in this moment.

First dish here is Chili Crab Bun. The black bun filled with crab meat on red singapore chili sauce. It looks lovely though served on round glass plate. Bun sure has lovely taste with bouncy texture. It filled by delicious crab meat and it is fresh. When i eat it along with sauce, it sure give a great sense to eat more.

Next dish is Singapore Laksa. I guess most of you should be know about this one. It is classic rice noodles in yellow thick sauce with spices. a tiny bowl here is really delicate, a calm and balanced spices in tasty thick yellow soup also don't forget the chewy rice noodles is lovely.

Move to another dish is Soft Shell Crab. Another beautiful dish here, one piece of crab surrounding by bright green and yellow garnish. Crab sure has great crispy and chewy texture blended well done and it is absolutely perfect seasoning.

After that, i have the Chicken Ballontine. A tiny chicken cube served along with some vegetables garnish at bottom on lovely black tiny pan. I may say the chicken i really tender also quite juicy, but the seasoning just fine i guess, nothing really stunning.

And last special dish here is Beef Short Ribs. This one absolutely gorgeous presentation. a cute beef cube served along with rice ball and some vegetable garnish as well. Beef is tender and really juicy, as i am not fan of beef, this is bit too heavy for me. But i can tell for your beef hunter, this is should be perfect dish.

After done several of special cuisines, it is time for other dish at all you can eat section. Should be start from front side where i found many kind of fruits also assorted fruits too.

Then continue to dessert section, where this is paradise. Various of cakes, large or tiny slices are ready here. Also bunch variant of desserts with different color and presentation.

Actually desserts absolutely great, i love the chocolate cake, it is balanced sweet and nice texture. For the cheesecake bit too sweet and the cheese not strong enough. Not stopping here, next section is Japanese sushi and sashimi cuisine. All just look like a food heaven in such a beautiful presentation. I am sure most of you should be amazed with it.

The sashimi are served in fresh condition, and tako sushi could be one of my fav here. A freshness and mild seasoning are blended well done. I also won't missed the smoked salmon, nice texture and perfect cooked. After quite many of front side, i moved to main course section. It happened also have a lot kind of foods, start from chicken, fish, beef, crab, prawn also bunch of vegetables.

But unfortunately this section is not amazing as previous. Most of foods are inconsistent balance of taste. Some are too sweet or too salty. the other too plain. I must say they sure have great concept by serve many kind of foods they you may choose. But i think it is not only about the variant, it should be also quality and taste of it.

Especially for 5 star hotel, i think this could be worse nightmare when you serve a horrible foods to customers. I am sure expected more regarding this one, so what my recommendation here sure be the 5 special dish of the day. Which is all cooked well done and perfect seasoning than the buffet section. For price, i think there's more another 5 star hotels are expensive than here.

At least they have such a great service, warm welcoming and attention to is the best way to treat the customers.
