Hwaro Korean Steakhouse & BBQ, Jakarta

Bahasa l English It's a wonderful weekend, and who doesn't enjoy all-you-can-eat meals? Some of you may have had all-you-can-eat buffets at hotels, or BBQ or shabu-shabu at shopping malls. But what about Korean BBQ with quality ingredients like A5 Wagyu? Well, Hwaro has a Weekend Brunch concept with all-you-can-eat menus. Let me start with the inside. From the outside, the restaurant appears to be an ordinary four-story facility with plenty of parking. You're already familiar with Jakarta's Senopati district, which is known for its valet parking service. Once inside, the space is truly stunning! An exquisite atmosphere with dark tones and fascinating details, particularly the fabric hanging across the restaurant area that resembles rolling clouds. Ethnic designs can also be seen in different corners.   The first floor is the main eating area, and the higher stories are entirely individual rooms of varied sizes. Each table has a grill, but in keeping with the h...

Bagel Season, Union, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This May, Union Jakarta, a well-known high-end dining, launched a new innovation. Perhaps you're already familiar with a bagel, but there's a new way to enjoy it here. At the time of launching, this Bagel is exclusively accessible at Union Plaza Senayan, from the front, you can see the Bagel Bar with a rather large showcase. Bagels come in a variety of flavors, including plain, salt, parmesan, blueberry, chocolate chips, cinnamon raisin, and (Almost) Everything. Bagels are priced at IDR 25,000 per piece. The texture of the bagel varies from soft to chewy, and it is best savored warm rather than dry. In my perspective, the plain one is a wonderful, traditional, and basic bagel. Even more interesting, here they also provide dipping sauce with various choices of Butter and Cheese Cream, there are also many choices, a variety of unique flavors that I have never seen before. Starting from the fragrant Chimichurri, the savory Alla Vodka, the spicy Scallion Chil...

Kyoten, Jakarta

Bahasa l English What's happening in Jakarta right now? Of course, numerous new eateries and cafes are distributed around the Jakarta area. A Japanese restaurant that caters to the tastes of the Jakarta community is currently a popular choice. This time, I had the pleasure to visit Kyoten, a premium Japanese restaurant in South Jakarta. It is very lovely, beginning with the entrance and continuing through an elegant hallway. The high-end theme is evident throughout the restaurant area. Large seating capacity, ranging from the bar and sofa to three private rooms that can accommodate up to ten people in each room. Of course, selecting from a menu with a huge selection will take some time. The primary menu items are sushi and robatayaki, but there is also sashimi, fresh oysters, donburi, and premium beef. In this story, I recommend various cuisines that you should eat that will undoubtedly impress you. Starting with Robatayaki, there are various options available, including T...

Apollo Wu Artisan Roast, Jakarta

Bahasa l English Following the rapidly changing culinary trend in Jakarta, it is unquestionable that Chinese cuisine is among the city's most popular foods. Chinese restaurants once dominated in North and West Jakarta, but they have since extended to Central and South Jakarta. Apollo Wu, a Chinese restaurant just launched at the end of 2024 in the Kuningan region of Jakarta, specifically in The East building, an upscale office area. The wonderful décor begins as soon as you enter the restaurant, with a corridor lined with gorgeous oriental decorations. Classic Chinese nuances create a different mood in an office building. In terms of capacity, it is not particularly large, but there are two VIP rooms that are suitable for any occasion. The wonderful interior design is seen throughout the restaurant. The signature dish here is Charsiu Trinity, also known as Charsiu Platter. A prepared dish of barbecue pork cooked using several techniques. Starting with A5 Charsiu, Cantonese, Crispy...

Charkoal, Jakarta

Bahasa l English Jakarta's restaurant industry is growing rapidly. This semester, there are many new restaurants in the Jakarta area. This time, I went to the Charkoal restaurant, operated by Ismaya, an F&B industry group in Indonesia for a long time. Many of you may be familiar with its restaurants. Charkoal is located in the SCBD neighborhood, which is well-known as a high-end destination for Jakarta society. With a capacity that is not too much and feels more intimate. The simple lighting setting adds an elegant subtlety, and there is an ember showcase in keeping with the Charkoal brand. The concept is not a joke; the entire food production procedure here uses embers from actual charcoal, with no gas stoves. Another intriguing fact is that dozens of natural fermentation ingredients in the jar are used as one of the keys to the flavor of each dish. The dinner set meal is available in two options: 14 and 17 courses.   The second session, which I attended this time, began at 0...

The Coach Restaurant

Bahasa l English According to the most recent information about Jakarta's restaurant business, it is evident that entrepreneurs love coming here to launch food-related ventures that pique the interest of the local populace. Coach is an American fashion brand that is well-known to inhabitants around the world. One of the defining characteristics of the modern generation's lifestyle is their assortment of clothing, purses, shoes, and accessories. The Coach Restaurant, which is housed in the Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall, made headlines when it originally opened. You must first pass the Coach boutique to get to this restaurant. Once inside, you will notice a stunning entrance that leads to the dining area. You notice a difference as soon as you walk in—the restaurant section is dimly lit and has a dark ambiance, while the clothes boutique is filled with vibrant colors. The space is vast, and stairs connect to the second level, which is currently being progressed into a private sp...
Bahasa l English This unique story was when I visited a restaurant in the South Jakarta area. Golden Joy is a family restaurant with a Chinese Indian concept. Well, unexpectedly the owner of this restaurant turns out to be from India but of Chinese descent family. Looks like an oriental Asian face but is able to speak Indian fluently. The interior of the restaurant is oriental and has touches of red or gold which are synonymous with Chinese vibes. The restaurant's capacity is quite large from an indoor space with round tables, an outdoor area, and 2 VIP rooms. Of course, this is a highly recommended restaurant for celebrating events. According to the concept, Golden Joy offers a variety of Chinese dishes which are actually quite familiar. However, if you pay attention, many dishes use typical Indian spices and seasonings. One of the highlight menus is Manchurian Gobi. So this is an Indian-style vegetarian dish. Use cauliflower cooked with herbs and spices such as onions, ginger, co...
