Kyoten, Jakarta

Bahasa l English

What's happening in Jakarta right now? Of course, numerous new eateries and cafes are distributed around the Jakarta area. A Japanese restaurant that caters to the tastes of the Jakarta community is currently a popular choice. This time, I had the pleasure to visit Kyoten, a premium Japanese restaurant in South Jakarta.
It is very lovely, beginning with the entrance and continuing through an elegant hallway. The high-end theme is evident throughout the restaurant area. Large seating capacity, ranging from the bar and sofa to three private rooms that can accommodate up to ten people in each room. Of course, selecting from a menu with a huge selection will take some time.
The primary menu items are sushi and robatayaki, but there is also sashimi, fresh oysters, donburi, and premium beef. In this story, I recommend various cuisines that you should eat that will undoubtedly impress you. Starting with Robatayaki, there are various options available, including Tori Momo (chicken thigh), Bonjiri (chicken tail), Gyutan (beef tongue), and Wagyu. Each satay is well-prepared and has a delicious flavor to increase the appetite.
Sushi such as Salmon Beet Roll is very delicious, salmon is processed with beet fruit so that it produces a beautiful red color and the unique taste of beet gives a different sensation of enjoying it. Wagyu Crispy Rice is also no less interesting, enjoyed while warm, the sensation of tender and juicy wagyu beef combined with crispy rice and shitake mushrooms provides a perfect harmony of taste.
The Wagyu Rib Eye menu is very popular here; there is a price for quality that I can say. The presentation of wagyu steak with soy butter definitely improves the flavor. There are some seasonings included, but the wagyu beef itself already has an outstanding flavor because of its texture, which is the perfect medium ripeness and juicy.
Or if you want to have a rice, well Fuji Don can be an interesting choice. A super beautiful presentation, a combination of chopped tuna belly, hamachi, scallop, kyuri (Japanese cucumber), ikura mixed together served on white rice. This dish is also served with fresh salmon and warm dashi sauce that will be poured into the dish. The comfort taste is really enjoyable.
The dinner experience at Kyoten was really memorable for me. You could say this is a restaurant that you must visit in a high-end dining choice in Jakarta. Once again there is a price for quality, of course with the experience of enjoying various dishes with premium ingredients, one person will spend at least more than IDR 200,000 for lunch or dinner. It also looks like there are many expats or foreigners, especially Japanese. Curious, right?! Let's book your seats now!

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Real Ingredients of Japan, Sushi Maru, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English 2022 is here! Welcoming the new year with joy and enthusiasm. This time I will tell you about a Japanese restaurant in the Golf Island area, PIK which is currently one of the trending destinations in Jakarta. It is undeniable that Japanese cuisine has indeed become one of Jakarta's society's favorites, so many Japanese restaurants can be found here. As a lover of authentic food, I really prefer Japanese restaurants that prioritize quality ingredients and classic tastes, although the current twist food variant is also very interesting. Sushi Maru has been operating since the end of 2021, with a Japanese feel in general using a wooden theme interior throughout the area. There are two floors with a large area capacity. But keep in mind, you should make a reservation before coming here, especially on weekends. One of the top menus here is Japanese Oyster, especially Reiwa Oyster, this dish is only available upon request. With a size that is much larger than the lo...
