Last spot i'd like to mention in Bandung for this month is Rumah Miring . It is located at Dago area, the way to this place is quite raw and really up, up and up to the hill. Also during weekend, road was so crowded and many holes around. So you might be wanna be careful while drive through there. From front side, place just looks like an old wooden tiny house. But when come inside, i was surprised, pass through dark room to downstairs and a huge place with awesome view of the hills down to city.

Still about Bandung, nowadays there's many modern cafe and restaurant are spreading around this city. From top around the hills until downtown of city. Around Ciumbuleuit, here got Wild Grass .  A modern restaurant with beautiful scenery. Huge house with backyard, with cement pattern whole building, wooden tables and chairs, also many oldies accessories around the house.  For better spot taking picture, i suggest choose outdoor part where you also could enjoy green space of backyard. Actually Wild Grass is offering various of fusion western cuisines. Start from salad, pizza, pasta or Indonesian foods.

Another day in Bandung, great idea for breakfast should be noodles. As information, there's a good spot for having typical chinese noodle around Braga area. It is called Mie Rica Kejaksaan, from it name, sure we know they are using pork as meat ingredient. At the morning, this place is quite crowded by customers. And it place does not really huge, only about 5-10 small tables in restaurant. No air conditioner  here, only using fan around. The main dish here is Mie Rica Pedas . Noodles topped with minced pork. It marinated in thick spicy sauce.

Another interesting place in Bandung is around Dago area. Well as you know, here is famous with many restaurant or cafe facing down the city from up the hills. Various spot here offering a great ambiance and view. Now i'd like to mention about one of coffee spot with forest theme. It is Armor Kopi.

From Lombok, we are moving to Bandung, West Java. It is one of favorite destination for culinary hunting. Among the typical Sundanese food, nowadays there also available many of modern asian or western restaurant around city. As this time, i've back to one of great restaurant i had been before last year. Two Hands Full, it is spotted around Sukajadi area, Bandung. From the street, you need to see carefully where the signage is really tiny up right at corner of restaurant.  As i remember, they are not in same place i had before. One of best Lombok cuisine is of course Ayam Taliwang. As by local drive recommended, Ayam Taliwang Irama is one of best restaurant to have this food. As i heard, former President of Republic Indonesia,  Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had been visited this restaurant before. Even during afternoon, it was really crowded while i went there. They have open side restaurant with little space of garden. But we also may have a seat inside the restaurant. What not so glad was the waiters are not really welcoming customer, when i need to approached the cashier to get the menu by myself. And i need to wait for quite moment to take my order since waiters are not around. Good thing was they do served food really fast. It only took about 10-15 minutes to set all on table. Continuing Lombok story, another unique restaurant here is El Bazar Cafe. It also spotted around Kuta area, Lombok, not so far from the Drifters, my previous post. Drifters is specialist in Burger, as El Bazar Cafe is specialist of Mediterranean food. Just for your information, this restaurant has been scored number 1 in Lombok based on tripadvisor. Something surprising though, in Lombok one of best restaurant not the typical food but it is a mediterranean restaurant.  I went there during my dinner, apparently this place is really crowded. Another information, all customers are western foreigners. I did not see any other asian around.  Actually the owner of this restaurant is came from Morocco, one of North African country with of course we know, various typical Middle Eastern culture and foods. Inside the restaurant is still keeping the beach theme with wooden chairs and tables, also some green fake leaf around, but don't forget they are mixed it mediterranean ambiance ...

What to have in Lombok? the answer is Burger! who would be expected there's a good restaurant for burger lover. Warung Drifter, actually i found this spot by Tripadvisor where sure they give many information about the world.  This restaurant is spotted around Kuta area,Lombok. During evening, this road sure is quite, not so many ride pass on, even though alot of restaurant and shops here. But at Warung Drifter sure many foreign customers are craving for the burger. How tasty is it?  It has quite nice place, does suit with the beach concept. wooden and bamboo all around the restaurant. Outdoor based with bamboo tables and chairs. Dessert forever. I guess many of you love dessert yah. Here is one good spot to try, Sunny Bear . It is spotted at Gading Serpong area. Around here, sure was really quite at evening. It seems not so many store yet been opening.  From the outside, sure this cafe has really bright lights. As usual dessert cafe, they also have cute and lovely concept. Bright soft blue is the main color and a cute bear logo with smile sure welcoming the customers. The first dessert we have was called " Choco Banana Snow Ice " by the name i bet you all know what is ingredients here. Yup, it is chocolate snow ice poured with slices of banana and corn flakes. It is lovely though. soft chocolate ice cream with delightful taste matched perfect with sweet banana and crunchy of corn flakes. Overall blended well together on one spoon. Another Indonesian restaurant here. Even though from it place looks like cafe rather than Indonesian Restaurant. I did not see much of Indonesia decoration or theme here. Demenu is spotted at 5th floor, Grand Indonesia mall. It is quite visible when you're up from the escalator east mall. Also since it has bright light letter signage just right up the restaurant. The restaurant has cafe concept with wooden floor and chairs, brick pattern on walls, and they also have outside part face out to the front of restaurant. I ordered the " Gurame Bumbu Rujak " It is a fried Gurame fish with Rujak (Indonesian Typical Fruits Salad) sauce. Actually it has great taste especially the sauce sure is tasty. And fish also cooked nicely, it has crunchy bite outside and soft texture inside. But too bad fillet is not good enough which is a lot of fish bone made me really not comfortable to eat it. I remember few months ago i found one spot restaurant with beautiful dessert. Mangia is spotted on 5th floor Grand Indonesia mall. From front side, this restaurant is not really eye catching much. Only signage of letter without any light. Even inside this restaurant also not bright enough though during evening. There's a lights around but seems not bright enough, i had quite difficult moment while taking pictures. Apparently at the day they have good lighting by the sun light came through the window from outside the restaurant. as heard, they are served various of western, italian and desserts. I found out they are actually offering western asian fushion cuisines. I ordered the Nasi Jeruk Sambal Dori. It is mixed white rice with kaffir lime leaves, special herbs and spicy dori. It has nice smell, strong herbs spread out around the bowl. But it seems too much chili cut, i feels not really comfortable bites while lot of rough chili cut. Dori has been cooked well done though...

These time i am sure posting many of past stories which is i took quite time for break last weeks. I'd like to mention about one Padang restaurant spotted at malls. Marco Padang Grill , as by this time they have been opened several branches in town and they are built-up padang restaurant concept in shopping malls. At Plaza Indonesia, it is located on 5th floor just exactly at the corner, much recognizable when we were pass through from the escalator going up. From front side, sure Marco letter is much visible, huge and bright by the lights. Inside restaurant is built in calm, dark and classic theme with oldies paintings on a walls, oldies decoration, black color of chairs and tables. I guess they are bringing up a modern Padang concept but keep up the traditional and classic Padang that we used to see and have.  Without took long time, we just ordered several of recommended dish in here. Around Pademangan area is famous by Chinese culinary spots. Many chinese restaurants are spread out around here start from rice, noodles, wanton, pork, dumplings also porridge. One of popular porridge restaurant is "Bubur Kwangtung". Actually this place has been famous for quite time. Just for you know, even though they are in chinese concept but they actually only served halal foods. From front side, it has quite big signage up on the door, and there's a bunch of aquarium with many living sea creature alive. I guess that's one of the key to serve fresh ingredients for better foods. During dinner, it was really crowded. All tables at the down floor sure full occupied. Apparently they have second floor up there. And still i need to wait about 10-15 to get on my table. It sure does make more excited, how many customers sure enjoy this place. Last month with some friends, i planned of to watch the Civil War together at Summarecon Mall Serpong. Before catch the movie, we were take a Japanese dinner around that area. It is called Torigen, during evening it seems quite around the street. Sure it is really different than the front side of street aside with the mall. From front side, it said they are okonomiyaki specialist. Torigen is actually japanese restaurant with wooden yatai concept, and many japanese theme decoration around the restaurant. It has second floor, but that time absolutely no other customer among us, it is sure quite. As i heard from friend, it is just opened several months, so they are new though.
