Armor Kopi, Bandung, West Java

Another interesting place in Bandung is around Dago area. Well as you know, here is famous with many restaurant or cafe facing down the city from up the hills. Various spot here offering a great ambiance and view. Now i'd like to mention about one of coffee spot with forest theme. It is Armor Kopi.

Indeed it is located at Taman Hutan Raya, Bandung. Cafe is surrounded by huge tress and wide space of forest. During the day, this place sure is crowded. Many people seems enjoying tea, coffee or snacking with pretty weather also mild forest.

This cafe is actually is a convenient coffee shop with various manual brewed coffee and tea. We just need to queuing on the line to make our order, then pay and get on any table. What glad is, they really offering much affordable menu there. Mostly about Rp 15,000 until 25,000.

Apart of the tea and coffee, we also may have try some meals here. Like our starter, we ordered salad. Just basic fresh vegetables with melon, baby tomatoes.

It has nice flavor though, bit sour but really fresh indeed. Then we have "Bukan Risol tapi Buah Buah Cinta" means not a risoles but this is fruits of love. Actually this is risoles, only what different usually people using minced meat or vegetables as fillings, but they are using bunch of slices apple with cinnamon sense i guess.

i do not really like it since the cinnamon is too strong and fruits filling too dry. Also it is really sweet, like you couldn't taste any other flavor than sugar. Next is top dish here is "Cireng" which is fried tapioca flour.

It has really crunchy skin outside, and such a chewy texture inside. Don't forget it has special spicy sauce which is really tasty. You just need to dip in the Cireng to the sauce and it sure would be a pleasure. After finished our meals, we headed to the forest park. This place sure really big space and all around surrounded by long high trees.

It also has a small water channel. I guess it from the mountain, and actually here is also got two kind of cave. One is Dutch Cave and another is Japan Cave. Name is came from past in history this caves are built-up by each countries while they were in Indonesia.

They used to using the cave tunnel for gun and weapon storage, but as heard they also using for person jail. Both caves are really dark inside, cold air sure flying around while you pass through the tunnel. And there is many of bats are living inside the tunnels.

This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
