Ayam Taliwang Irama, Lombok

One of best Lombok cuisine is of course Ayam Taliwang. As by local drive recommended, Ayam Taliwang Irama is one of best restaurant to have this food. As i heard, former President of Republic Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had been visited this restaurant before.

Even during afternoon, it was really crowded while i went there. They have open side restaurant with little space of garden. But we also may have a seat inside the restaurant. What not so glad was the waiters are not really welcoming customer, when i need to approached the cashier to get the menu by myself. And i need to wait for quite moment to take my order since waiters are not around.

Good thing was they do served food really fast. It only took about 10-15 minutes to set all on table. As top cuisine, of course i ordered the Ayam Taliwang Bakar Pedas. It is grilled Taliwang chicken with special spicy seasoning.

Don't be surprised, chicken absolutely tiny piece. Well it is authentic Taliwang chicken which is they have much smaller body size than normal chicken. Don't worry, even though it is small, but sure this is great dish! Soft meat with really tasty sauce and seasoning, it is grilled well done and super spicy. Make sure each of your order a piece, unless won't be enough.

And don't forget one of perfect friend for this cuisine is Plecing Kangkung. It is a blanched water spinach served cold with pleacing spicy sambal on top.

it is absolutely great! fresh water spinach poured by spicy and tasty sambal perfect with bunch of fresh bean sprout fried nuts. I do recommended this one if you are visit there.

Black Owl, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English A favorite destination for the Jakarta community, which is famous for its hawker centers, from street food, restaurants to elegant lounge bars. This week, another good news for restaurant and bar fans, Black Owl is back in operation from the previous location in the PIK 1 area, now they are presented new location with a different concept. As soon as you pass through this area, you can clearly see the Black Owl with a black building with an owl logo on it. Seen the parking area is quite large and still not too crowded during the day. Once inside, we will pass through a hallway with a very high ceiling. My suggestion is it's best to make a reservation in advance to save your table. Black Owl comes with a restaurant and bar concept, a very stunning interior with dominant dark colors such as black and dark wooden material throughout the large room. The dim lights look calm and elegant, and what's amazing is the giant LCD screen that stretches to the ceiling. There

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
