Bubur Kwantung, Pademangan, Central Jakarta

Around Pademangan area is famous by Chinese culinary spots. Many chinese restaurants are spread out around here start from rice, noodles, wanton, pork, dumplings also porridge. One of popular porridge restaurant is "Bubur Kwangtung".

Actually this place has been famous for quite time. Just for you know, even though they are in chinese concept but they actually only served halal foods. From front side, it has quite big signage up on the door, and there's a bunch of aquarium with many living sea creature alive. I guess that's one of the key to serve fresh ingredients for better foods.

During dinner, it was really crowded. All tables at the down floor sure full occupied. Apparently they have second floor up there. And still i need to wait about 10-15 to get on my table. It sure does make more excited, how many customers sure enjoy this place.

Restaurant has normally Indonesian chinese theme, ceramic floor with plastic tables and wooden chair. It has quite low light around, which is take more effort to take a picture shot.

First we order sure the special dish is Seafood Porridge. It huge bowl of thick porridge with unseen seafood though from the top. But apparently, there alot of prawn and squid in the porridge.

I am sure love it. moist porridge, warm and absolutely tasty. The seafood also cooked well done and fresh. It should be good served along with the Youtiao (chinese cruller or chinese oil stick) or to get more taste you could have the ginger in soy sauce.

Don't forget the Steamed Squids with ginger. I also love this one too, squids has nice texture and dish absolutely tasty! It has perfect seasoning, and as what i said one of key for good food sure is fresh ingredients and cooking method of course.

New Opening, August, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This month has indeed become a moment where the restaurant and hotel business has begun to attract customers with various offers. Not to forget, the opening of several new restaurants has also colored the city of Jakarta recently. One of them is August, which is located in the Sudirman area, more precisely at Sequis Tower. This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
