Talking about Chinese food, i am sure never bored with this kind of cuisines. Various of dish with great ingredients also seasoning sure make a delicate food creation. Nowadays, we may found many Chinese restaurant start from street food, hawker centre or an exclusive dining as well.

One of exclusive dining i may recommended is Li Feng, last week at chance of invitation by Zomato meetup i have been invited to this restaurant located at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Central Jakarta. I guess most of you should be known with this hotel which is stand out stunning around the central roundabout.

actually this restaurant just opened about couple of months in this year. Recently it also has been new trend in town among the foodies also other people as well.

You can tell by the name, obviously this is Chinese restaurant. It is represented the Beauty and abundance by the luxurious concept between the China and Batavia cultures also ambiance.

I saw many beautiful and authentic interior all around the restaurant and one most beautiful thing i saw here is the stunning crystal light with glamour theme. Don't forget they also offering the privacy moment while dining with cosey private dining room at each corner.

Move to the dish, first starter came out is the Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk. The stunning fried fish skin covered by yellow egg yolk also bunch of basil leaves i guess.

What a crispy! i am sure able to hear each bites i had. Also it is very tasty egg yolk and bit spiciness here. It just made me wants to eat more and more. Each skin have been cut in consistent thickness and for note, this is salmon skin which is less fat. Second dish came out is the Spicy XO Scallop Dumpling & Squid Ink, Seafood and Roe Dumpling.

Another delicate seafood cuisines here, the black dumpling sure has tender texture of seafood meat, and the outside skin sure is moist and great thickness. It is sure covered up tasty meat inside with perfect seasoning. About the Scallop dumpling, i also like it. The scallop such in juicy texture and it is cooked well done which is really awesome. Another star cuisine here is the Swan Dumpling with Black Pepper Duck Meat. In such a beautiful creation, the black swan dumpling has been star in social media recently.

It has crispy black skin using the puff pastry i assume, it wrapped the minced of duck. As i am not a fan of duck meat, i think this one quite strong taste of the duck. But for you Duck lover, i am sure this is perfect dish for you which duck really cook in tasty sauce and perfect texture.

After bunch of dumplings, now i'd like to mention the Imperial Kung Fu Soup. Another unique presentation here, soup served in small of pot with tiny cup aside. Be careful, pot is quite hot when it touch.

I find out this soup is really tasty, in clear and mild taste but strong taste of chicken broth. Inside the pot is Consisted by various of ingredients like chicken, quail, mushroom, cordyceps flower and dried longan. Quite unique indeed! and it is sounds healthy. After some of starters, we were move to the main course. Fish dish here is the Sweet & Sour Chicken with Pineapple and Bell Pepper. I am sure agree this one is gorgeous! The bunch of wooden sticks holding together and surrounding by stunning golden strings topped on beautiful chicken wrapped in golden color of sauce. 

For information, golden strings is eatable and it is taste sweet just like a cotton candy. Sweet and sour chicken here is bit crunchy and i think the seasoning is not really heavy. Even though it is in thick sauce, but for me the taste of sweet or sour not really comes out here. Next dish is Braised Hele Crab with Japanese Rice in Hoisin Sauce.

I am sure love this one, rice has really moist texture and it is absolutely well seasoning which is really tasty. Don't missed the crab is the main star in this cuisine which is fresh enough and delicate. After that, i had the Sauteed Beef with Szechuan pepper and Chili

In beautiful presentation as well, slices of beef cubes served on black stone with some of Szechuan pepper and chili cut. Beef is sure tender and perfect texture. Also it doesn't missed the juicyness of meat and perfect color. As i heard, this is one of most fav dish in this restaurant. Last main course i had is the Wok-Fried String Beans with Dried Shrimps and Garlic.

Looks normal, only topped by beautiful purple pink flower. But i can assure you this is perfect dish as well. A crunchy string bean sure give a good mood to eat more and nice salty shrimps is really up in here. After several of main courses, now i am sure need dessert. And just expected what cames out here are beautiful kind of dessert. Those are Deep Fried Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Frog Jelly & Coconut Milk, Blueberry Snow Skin Dumpling also Mango with Pomelo Sago Cream.

Hey look at that baby duck such in cute shape. And assure you this is great dessert. Crispy skin outside filled with creamy white sauce consisted the coconut milk flavor. For the blueberry snow dumpling, i believe this is my favorite! A moist skin of dumpling filled with chill lovely cream and it is perfect sweetness. Also don't forget the last dessert here is the mango, i find out this is looks like a mango in thick sauce, it does fresh and also i think they really worked great about the sweetness.

Overall, as you can tell, i am sure satisfied with this place. A beautiful ambiance, luxury interior and various of great cuisines. What main thing here, All foods are served in beautiful way of presentation and the balancing of taste sure made on top. The thing is i know all of us sure had a Chinese food in town, but i can assure you this is could be another great dining experience you haven't feels before.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors

Black Owl, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English A favorite destination for the Jakarta community, which is famous for its hawker centers, from street food, restaurants to elegant lounge bars. This week, another good news for restaurant and bar fans, Black Owl is back in operation from the previous location in the PIK 1 area, now they are presented new location with a different concept. As soon as you pass through this area, you can clearly see the Black Owl with a black building with an owl logo on it. Seen the parking area is quite large and still not too crowded during the day. Once inside, we will pass through a hallway with a very high ceiling. My suggestion is it's best to make a reservation in advance to save your table. Black Owl comes with a restaurant and bar concept, a very stunning interior with dominant dark colors such as black and dark wooden material throughout the large room. The dim lights look calm and elegant, and what's amazing is the giant LCD screen that stretches to the ceiling. There
