Available in Indonesia Language: http://foodiozid.blogspot.com/2016/12/hatchi-pondok-indah-jakarta-selatan.html

Japanese restaurant has been common to be found in town. Other than authentic Japanese, we also may found many fusion Japanese restaurant as well. Just like Hatchi, modern Japanese concept with cozy spot and nice ambiance.

From outside, it may looks plain dark without any fancy decoration, but when get inside, there's a nice interior with black color give the exclusive touch but also has some of Neko (Cat in Japanese) as the little fancy touch to the room.

This restaurant is claimed to be Asian fusion style, but i can tell, they do offering Japanese fusion food mostly. There also available second floor with bar and private room as well. But during the day, it is not operated yet. It would just available at the evening.

I assure you this restaurant has beautiful and stunning interior, with dominant dark color sure give the exclusive ambiance. And many authentic Japanese decoration just give a nice touch to the interior. Most favorite dish here should be the rice bowl. They do available with various choices, not only main course but also some light bites.

My favorite rice bowl here should be the Roa Bowl. The bowl with fried rice, salmon & tuna tataki and House made sambal Roa. It has crunchy texture with the rice, fresh salmon and tuna are great and sambal roa does give the great sensation.

Then, we have some light bites like gyoza with pork filling. The house made dumpling with lovely dumpling skin and such a tasty grounded pork filling, it is juicy.

Then we have Gyutan Bao, the chinese steamed bun filled with marinated beef tongue complete with pickled red radish, lettuce, apple hoisin and goma mayo. I may say the bun absolutely has soft texture, and it does have good seasoning. Only the beef tongue too tight texture or not tender enough. My tips here is it would better if we take this food while it still hot.

Don't forget, they also available with desserts. But i am bit confused with it flavor though. Matcha tiramisu is too watery and i couldn't taste the green tea flavor much in it.

And for the Ketan Nutella Smores, it is better but i don't find it amazing. It just like the typical Indonesian dish, black glutinous rice porridge with biscuit crackers and bunch of cream. I am not sure how to tell this one, it taste good but not amazing. I found out it just typical common dessert used to be found in town.

Overall, i think this restaurant is recommended. With various of Japanese fusion, they sure created a new food culture and taste. Also they do ahve such a stunning restaurant concept, with dominant black color give the exclusive touch and some of Neko decoration such an instagramable spot to take a picture.

And for the price, i think it is standard enough. As the location, ambiance, service and food i am sure it is worth it enough to spend. They also have many kind of fusion drink like Japanese tea, mocktail or even sake. So don;t wait for more, it would be such a perfect casual dining during weekend.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors

Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts. From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable. The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society. Some interesting menu such as huevos racheros served on pan, Mexican food, minced beef processed with tomato sauce, eggs then complete with classic salsa and fresh avocad
