The exciting news that a Michelin Star chef comes to Indonesia presents amazing food creations. This time at Rosso, a restaurant in a 5-stars hotel, Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta. The restaurant with the concept of luxury, as the name suggests Rosso comes from Italian which means red, we can see the dominant red color in the whole restaurant gives a touch of elegance.

The restaurant with the concept of luxury, as the name suggests Rosso comes from Italian which means red, we can see the dominant red color in the whole restaurant gives a touch of elegance.
Here is also a beautiful bar equipped with a black sofa that looks comfortable to spend time while enjoying a variety of drinks. Interesting enough that a beautiful ceiling with Victorian style gives a dominant European touch once.
The event titled Buon Appetito, a chef named Giuseppe Ianotti with Michelin Star standards, comes from Italy present a pleasure to the society of Jakarta with exclusive dishes typical of Italy. He himself runs the restaurant Kresios with 1 Michelin star in Italy. This event is certainly greeted enthusiastically by Jakarta community.
This time I attended a Lunch session with 4 dishes set menu. For choice, we can enjoy lunch accompanied by the choice of wine pairing that will give the sensation. But because I do not want to drink wine, then I just order water only. The first menu presented is Cappasanta Alla Plancia, Pane Brucianto E Zucca. Beautiful presentation, scallops served with burned bread and pumpkin sauce are bright yellow. This first dish is very delicious and enhances appetite.
The second menu, Ravioli Mozzarella Di Bufala E Gambrero Rosso, Ravioli with a size large but thin layers filled with soft and juicy shrimp. Aldente texture and delicious taste is very suitable each other. Shrimp with a fresh aroma and soft texture is really good.
Furthermore the another seafood menu, Dentice Alla Plancia, Patate E Insaltine. Red Snapper served with a gorgeous salad and potato puree. The fish has a soft texture with a smoky aroma, a spice that roughly gives the fish a real flavor. Combined with sweet potato puree with a pleasant sensation.
After enjoying the main course, it is time for dessert with Crostatina Banane Al Rum E Crema Al Latte Bruciato. For the appearance can be said nothing special, simple and not many beautiful elements. The pastry with banana and creamy milk cream gave me a slightly excessive sweetness. It will be more enjoyable if combined with acidic fruit.
This lunch experience is satisfactory, although it can be said that the food presentation is not so amazing, i can taste authentic Italian flavors. Unfortunately, at this moment I do not feel the service of a restaurant in a 5 star hotel, it would be better if the staff give more attention to customer or service more friendly. For other things, Rosso can be a romantic spot to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner.
