Jakarta with the metropolitan city life becomes a culinary destination that will indulge every culinary lover both local and foreigners as well. Foods from different cultures, unique flavors provide a pleasurable culinary sensation. This time, there is something new to be my favorite culinary list is Peruvian foods.
Perhaps most of you are quite unfamiliar with what Peruvian is, this is the name for people from Peru, a country in Latin America known with famous spot is Machu Picchu, a tourist destination that goes into the 7 wonders of the world. Peru itself uses Spanish as its primary language, but talks about culture, now in Peru we will see different ethnicities. Not to forget, a variety of foods with multi-culture creates unique and amazing creations like one of them Peruvian-Japanese.
Good news for Jakarta society where we can enjoy unique Peruvian food today. The Seasonal Tastes restaurant at The Westin Jakarta provides a buffet dining with Peruvian-Japanese food options. Various canapes and sushi that looked like Japanese food served with Peruvian style and flavor.
This is the first time I have tasted Peruvian food, one of my favorite is the Cheviche, any fresh seafood ingredients can be this special dish. Fresh fish served with sliced sweet potatoes, bright yellow sauce with a dominant sour taste provide a fresh sensation and increase appetite.
Then I also tried Pulpo Al Olivo, rice grater served with a piece of octopus and smeared with sweet potato cream. The sweet taste at the beginning and tasty afterwards gives a pleasant sensation. Next part, uniquely, I saw Peruvian-Japanese consisting of various sushi with slightly different appearance from authentic Japanese. Sushi maki and nigiri presented beautifully with fresh ingredients tasted delicious with Peruvian-style sauce on it.
The dinner experience was fun, the taste of Peruvian became a new experience for me to taste culinary. In addition, Seasonal Tastes offers an exclusive buffet dining atmosphere with comfortable and spacious venues also provides stunning views of Jakarta. For you culinary lovers, must really taste this Peruvian food, the dishes served have different taste will certainly provide a unique experience. Other information, this Peruvian menu will only be available in Seasonal Tastes until 17th November 2017, so do not miss it.

One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. So like this bar that just opened in the Pantai Indah Kapuk area of Jakarta. Phoenix Gastrobar, a new concept presented by HWG, is one of the newest brands by the pioneers in the restaurant, bar, and club industry today. Next to each other between the two clubs presented before, are Tiger & Dragon Bar. The concept offered at Phoenix is completely different from previous HWG outlets. First I'll say the interior is absolutely stunning, with 3 story bar & lounge with stairs that reminds me of Hogwarts, the school in the Harry Potter movies.
