This year the presence of Michelin Star chefs in Jakarta became a trend that was welcomed enthusiastically by the Jakarta society. This time i attended a lunch at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta which is certainly no strange anymore for us. In a restaurant that carries an exclusive concept, C's Steak & Seafood with a large area and the concept of Western food with a standard 5-star hotel. This week the presence of a Michelin Star chef from Britain certainly gives exciting fresh news.
Matt Worswick is a chef born in Liverpool, England and through a long experience, he currently runs a Surrey restaurant, Matt Worswick at The Latymer. And believe it or not, he has been awarded the Michelin Star at a young age of 26, it's amazing! Chef Matt likes to combine various elements that produce unique taste creations and give different sensations. Besides that with expert skills, don't forget the presentation of the food served is amazing.
In this Michelin Star Dining Experience, visitors will be spoiled with a signature dish from Latymer that is very exciting. Among them is the appetizer, Oscientra Caviar, beautiful dish with smoked eel, fresh apple slices and of course caviar with the best ingredient. There is also a Raw Hokkaido Scallops which is one of my favorite. Soft scallop pieces are combined with bois boudran, a type of sauce that comes from Britain with a mixture of vinegar, tabasco, wonchester sauce, shallot and other ingredients that produce sour and fresh flavors.
The menu that became a star here is Australian Wagyu Beef. Of course with quality ingredients that produce perfect dish. Very tender wagyu piece are presented beautifully along with green vegetable, red wine sauce, pomme anna, processed potato which go through several processes so that they have a crunchy texture on the outside and soft on the inside. Besides that it is complete with several mushrooms and in the form of puree. Each element provides a satisfying sensation when eaten together.
The Michelin Star Dining Experience at C's Steak & Seafood will take place until 27th October 2018 available at lunch time by IDR 550,000 ++ and dinner IDR 1,450,000 ++. In addition to enjoying standard Michelin Star dishes, visitors can also enjoy wine pairing that will increase satisfaction and of course with an additional charge. This is a rare opportunity in Jakarta and i can assure this is one of the best dining at this moment.
