One of my favorite culinary is Thai food that is familiar with the taste of salty, sour and spicy. One restaurant I can recommend is Thai Xtreme located at Taman Anggrek Mall. Thai Xtreme previously operated under the name of Thai Xpress which has been around for a while in Jakarta.

This one restaurant has a modern concept that looks exclusive. It is also decorated with ornaments such as displays and sculptures that characterize typical of Thai. The dark colors that dominate the restaurant make it looks elegant.

As the name implies, there is a variety of authentic Thai specialties. We can find food that is not strange to us who have been to this White Elephant country like tom yum, som tam, pad thai or chicken pandan.

One of the recommended menu is Tom Yum with clear gravy. The presentation that distinguishes the color of tom yum gravy is usually red, but in here, tom yum is in clear color like soup. For the ingredients, it is same as tom yum normally, there are various kinds of seafood such as shrimp, squid and fish. Sour and sour taste was very fresh. Pieces of seafood cooked with a good texture and odorless.

Then there were chickens wrapped in pandan leaves having a tempting aroma. The texture of the chicken is tender and not dry tasted very delicious. In addition, I also tried Basil Beef Rice, a plate of rice served with beef cooked with basil leaves and served along with fried egg.

The savory taste of the meat was really strong, the fragrant basil aroma gives a different sensation. Not to forgot after eating, I also tried one of the famous dessert of Thailand namely Thai cassava served with a thick and sweet coconut milk sauce.

The texture of cassava was a bit rougher than usual I eat in Thailand, and taste a bit bitter. But if combined with the coconut milk sauce, it would taste sweet that fits in the mouth. Then, I also tried the fresh juice of kedondong, the sour taste of the fruit gives a pleasant sensation.

In addition to the above menus, the Thai Xtreme also available with other menus that are many choices. We can find a variety of Thai specialties from appetizers, main course and desserts. It can be said that the price offered is a bit higher compared to our jajan in Thailand country there. But worth noting, in addition to authentic foods offered, Thai Xtreme also provide the atmosphere and service like a restaurant.
