Bakso Oemardi Tradisi 1976, Palmerah, West Jakarta

Available in Bahasa: Click Here

Talking about Indonesian food, this one is definitely very familiar to us Indonesians. Meatballs is one of the typical foods that we used find in all cities in Indonesia. And now we can find various kinds of meatballs with a choice of beef, chicken, fish and others.

In addition to different materials, there are also a diverse shape and size of meatballs. But for me, still the most delicious meatballs are classic meatballs with beef, ping pong ball sizes and fresh broth soup. Well, one of them is this one, Bakso Oemardi. For your information, the year 1976 is not the year where this restaurant operates in Jakarta, but that year is Bakso Oemardi already exist in Tasik, West Java.

As I suspect, Oemardi is the name of the owner who came from the city of Tasik. In this Palmerah branch, the place is quite simple as a typical Indonesian eatery. There is a parking space that contains about 2 to 3 cars, because we know the area here is very crowded.

The menu offered is certainly related to the meatballs, but in addition, we may also taste the noodles with a special onion sambal (chili sauce) from Tasik or seblak which is a typical food of West Java. Without a long wait, I tried some of the dishes that looked tempting.

The main one was Yamin Sambal Bawang with special meatballs. The boiled noodles are stirred together with the onion chili which gives a spicy sensation on the tongue. The noodles has a texture that fits and the flavor of onion chilli is really tasty, and if you feel less spicy, you could add more onion chili.

Teh Meatballs also has a soft texture and not tough. Then, the sauce is also fresh and not greasy and tasty. We may also taste snacks such as Cilok Goreng, rounded meatballs served with prick satay and then burned with soy sauce. It has a really chewy bites.

Or we may enjoy the unique Meatballs Seblak. With the right chewy texture, savory taste and meatballs with a large size enough. My advice, get ready to sweat and drink a lot, because the spicy flavor would make a real hot sensation in your mouth.

For the price offered is certainly very affordable. In accordance with the concept of a typical Indonesian restaurant with a simple cheap price, but of course the quality of the food offered must be amazing.
