Peruvian Experience, Gran Meliá, South Jakarta

Bahasa l English

A month ago i had a chance to taste Peruvian cuisine in a hotel area in Jakarta. This time i had the opportunity again to taste the various Peruvian dishes presented by Chef Natalia Gonzalez, an expert chef from Peru with her long experience and expertise in creating Peruvian food creations from traditional, modern to interesting fusion.
At the luncheon this time together with the Peruvian embassy, located in one of the five-star hotel that are certainly familiar to the Jakarta society, Gran Meliá Jakarta. In the Gran Via restaurant with a large area, visitors are quite crowded during lunch hours. A wide variety of menu choices, but this time i came to enjoy Peruvian dishes that are interesting and unique.
There is one section of Peruvian food starting from entre, soup, main courses to dessert. Various menus with attractive appearance such as Ceviche, Peruvian Fish & Prawn Soup / Chupe, Spanning Loin, Peruvian Beef Empanadas, Purple Crepes with Pineapple, Guagueros, Red Quinoa Souffle, and many others.
Basically Peruvian food is identical to sour taste, especially the ceviche dish, but Chef Natty this time presents a taste of a combination of Peruvian and Indonesian so as to create a unique taste and quite familiar to the Jakarta society. Processed quality ingredients with Chef Natty's expertise that undoubtedly produces a very tasty dish.
She is also very detailed with every ingredient and spice used and creative ideas creating new menu creations that i have never tasted before. This Peruvian menu will be available from 20-31 Aug 2018. Every day visitors can taste a variety of different Peruvian dishes with interesting choices..

New Opening, August, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This month has indeed become a moment where the restaurant and hotel business has begun to attract customers with various offers. Not to forget, the opening of several new restaurants has also colored the city of Jakarta recently. One of them is August, which is located in the Sudirman area, more precisely at Sequis Tower. This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
