ChaoLay Seafood, Hua Hin, Thailand

Bahasa l English

The first time I visited Hua Hin which is a Thailand holiday destination worth a visit. Southern part of the city with beautiful white sand beaches famous for its unique and interesting Santorini Park for the photo area.
Not to forget, of course a variety of typical culinary Thailand that must be tried here. Based on some references, I found a famous seafood restaurant here. Chaolay is located in downtown Hua Hin area with a large number of visitors during the night.
Down the city with the night market is super crowded and available various souvenirs, culinary and authentic Thai merchandise. Chaolay with its seaside location makes it strategic with breathtaking views and sea breezes in the evenings.
The menu offered is very varied with a choices of seafood dishes are of course fresh and typical Thai style. One of them is grilled scallop butter & garlic. Serve a scallop with a beautiful shell and then processed with thick sauce and solid yellow color. The flavor of the scallop is quite tender but rather dry and the flavor of the sauce is savory with the aroma of the dominant herbs.
In addition to scallops, there is also a steamed prawn with curry mousse coconut milk served in coconut shell. Coconut fruit with processed shrimp in a thick curry with a fragrant aroma of coconut milk. Tantalizing dish, soft shrimp texture and tasty herbs. Do not miss the shredded coconut meat was sweet.
Each of these dishes will be delicious enjoyed with white rice. But can I say the whole flavor is not so amazing, quite ok for culinary Thailand. But the local atmosphere offered is very nice where you enjoy dinner with nightly ocean reserve and cool breeze.
For the price is not exactly very cheap, for two portions of menu with white rice and drinking spend about Rp 250,000. Maybe we can find a culinary spot at a more affordable price but Chaolay is one of the most famous local restaurants for tourists in Hua Hin. Once a time, i think this is quite nice place to go if you were looking a Thai traditional food.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor.
