This time I had the opportunity to visit one of the exclusive restaurant that has been operate 2 years back. It's located on the 22nd floor, with the concept of lounge and restaurant that has ample space. With a dark dominant interior that gives the impression of elegance, tiles with brightly colored patterns, then wooden elements on several sides.
Then there's an interesting bar station and a tall rack of pretty wines. Located at 22nd floor heights, View also offers a fabulous dinner experience with city scene at night.
The menu offered here is only about less than 20 which it not so much, but each menu is prepared with a mature concept and it has a varied element. Here, we may choose the menu with ala carte or set menu. The set menu is available with 3 choices consisting of 3 courses, 5 courses and 7 courses.
The menu offered certainly starts from the appetizers, main menu and dessert. Previously, we were also served with a welcome bread and amuse as a starter in the beginning. Two kinds of amuse are presented beautifully on the saucer filled with white rock. There were Peyek Foie Gras Peanut Crumbles, sweet and crisp flavor blending together. And there's also Apple Pie Nasturtium Leaf & Cinnamon. Apple Pie with a ball shape that has a crisp bites, a strong and sweet cinnamon aroma that really fits.
The first menu I tried was Smokey Tuna & Jelly. Tuna salad served with squid ink that is formed into a beautiful net. Then mixed with ponzu sauce, avocado and lime granite which gives a fresh and balanced flavor.
Then the second menu was a Charred Octopus, with an amazing presentation, it is served in a dark black squid ink, then a nasturtium leaf that gives a touch of green and puree in some spots. Fragrant aroma, octopus texture is soft, but unfortunately excessive salty taste on octopus even covered up other flavors.
Then proceed with Wagyu Beef Tartare, salad with fresh wagyu meat combined with mustard, emulsion and worcestershire and Kenikir (a kind of leaf) Emulsion that provide savory taste. I think it would be better if the creamy mustard is reduced, so that the taste of wagyu itself could be dominant.
Well, the next menu happens to be one of the new innovations offered by View. Cured Lombok Turbot with Sprite Cream, Seabeans and Coriander, fresh turbot fish meat served with a sauce that contains a truly unique sprite flavor. Then comes with a beautiful colorful garnish. Fresh flavor of fish with perfect cuts fit perfectly with fresh sprite sauce.
The appealing main menu must have been a star in my dinner. Wagyu Beef Sirloin, with the rare medium level, the perfect layer color and served with a beautiful garnish. The texture of the tender and juicy meat is really delicious, then the savory taste that envelopes very good.
In addition to wagyu, we may also enjoy Lamb Loin & Sweetbread, lamb steak served with parmesan citrus risotto, glazed carrot & peach juice in bright color. In accordance with the standard, lamb meat is processed with a bold red color and a soft texture. Not much seasoning on the meat so the typical taste of lamb is really strong.
After eating some savory food, it's time to enjoy the semen as a cover. I tried the traditional dessert served with a modern presentation ie, Flavors of Kolak. Basic ingredients of bananas are served along with banana brulee, cinnamon crumble and sorbet yogurt. Sweet banana flavor with a thick sauce, then a sweet and soft banana brulee combined with a sour sorbet yogurt flavor to create a balanced combination.
My whole dinner experience here was amazing. Although there were some menus that are not perfect, but it can be covered with other shades that are satisfactory. It is also accompanied by a truly exclusive concept, an elegant restaurant atmosphere and friendly service. The price offered can be classified as standard considering the concept carried by View. I certainly recommend it if you have a special occasion or want to experience the dinner on the 22nd floor with a stunning city scene.
