Two Stories, Bogor, West Java

Available in Bahasa: Click Here

Another story in Bogor, As recommendation by a friend, Two Stories is modern restaurant that has been popular in Bogor. Located in Pajajaran street where this are is available with many restaurant and usually has awful gridlock on the way and crowded during weekend.

Just as i assumed, arrived there i found out many cars filled all parking space at the restaurant. Luckily for me, couple of minutes has a car going out so it is my turn to get in there.

Two Stories has two floors, but apparently both has different name. Bottom floor is Two Stories Resto while the top floor is Level 03 Rooftop by Two Stories those indeed both are part of a same group. These two restaurant sure offering different food & restaurant concept.

This time i visited the Two Stories Restaurant. With modern Western concept, dominated by dark color included the tables & chairs. It has quite wide place and matching with restaurant trend this time.

Since this is weekend, this restaurant is quite crowded by customers. Two Stories is offering various of fusion dishes. It is available with Western, Asian and even Indonesian food. Without took a long time, i ordered two kind of food that is beef short ribs soup and double decker pizza.

In here i'd like to taste two kind of food with different style and culture from which is beef short ribs soup is absolutely typical Indonesian food. It has quite huge portion for a person with some of beef ribs in good texture, tender and it has really good seasoning such suitable for Indonesian taste.

Too bad, for the pizza i think it is not working. Actually i have been tried some western food around Bogor, but unfortunately i havent's taste any good of it until now. Just like this pizza has quite strange dough. It is not crunchy or not even chewy. I just think this is not a proper way for good pizza dough. Then it has awkward topping with rendang (braised beef) and sausage. I juts found out the rendang is not authentic enough. It taste like an instant beef rendang, but in fact, they do need about 15minutes to get done this pizza.

Therefore, i would suggest you to have the Indonesian food which is has suitable seasoning typical of Indonesian. For price, they offering standard rate for food though. With typical modern restaurant this time, for Rp 50,000- Rp 100,000 for a person should be normal.

Only they should get improved for the food especially with the pizza case i think. What really satisfying here is the service and cleanliness. More than that, they also have nice concept of restaurant, that comfortable. It sure would be nice spot for hang out.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors

Black Owl, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English A favorite destination for the Jakarta community, which is famous for its hawker centers, from street food, restaurants to elegant lounge bars. This week, another good news for restaurant and bar fans, Black Owl is back in operation from the previous location in the PIK 1 area, now they are presented new location with a different concept. As soon as you pass through this area, you can clearly see the Black Owl with a black building with an owl logo on it. Seen the parking area is quite large and still not too crowded during the day. Once inside, we will pass through a hallway with a very high ceiling. My suggestion is it's best to make a reservation in advance to save your table. Black Owl comes with a restaurant and bar concept, a very stunning interior with dominant dark colors such as black and dark wooden material throughout the large room. The dim lights look calm and elegant, and what's amazing is the giant LCD screen that stretches to the ceiling. There
