Ho Hung Kee, Hysan Place, Hong Kong

Bahasa l English

Still, around Hong Kong, I again visited one of the Michelin Star restaurant which is also popular with its signature dish, Wanton Noodles. Starting from a casual eatery in the Causeway Bay area, now they operate at Hysan Place. This little history of Ho Hung Kee was founded in 1946 by Ho Wing Fong and his wife.
Don't be surprised if when you get there, you will see a scene crowded by visitors waiting for the queue. Please take the number on the queue machine in front of the restaurant and you will be called according to the number. There are a few advantages if you are not too many people, so you might be able to get a seat right away, but get ready to sit together with strangers.
Each visitor will immediately be served Chinese tea without having to order. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very crowded and the queue still looks long in front of the restaurant, especially during dinner hours. Without waiting a long time, the menu I tasted was small size Wanton Noodles at a price of HKD $ 58. A small bowl of soup noodles with 4 pieces of wantons, a fragrant aroma, warm, clear soup, then the texture of soft noodles and wanton cooked perfectly.
Then I also tried Stir-Fried Rice Noodle with Beef which is also a popular dish here. The price is quite high, which is HKD $ 108. The serving is quite large, the aroma is fragrant, the color is dense brown. The taste offered is indeed savory and has an interesting smoky aroma and tender pieces of beef. This dish really pampered the tongue and satisfying.
A visit here can certainly be a recommendation for your culinary destination in Hong Kong. No need to worry about language barriers, Ho Hung Kee has been popular for quite a long time and of course many receive visits from foreign tourists so they are ready with a complete English menu.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta
