 This week i visited a restaurant in South Jakarta area which is quite popular. Monty's Jakarta has been operating for about 3 years in town, carrying the European Western concept with a modern twist. The interior is quite elegant with shades of plain white and black colors throughout the room. There is a bar ready to serve interesting cocktails too.
Chef Christer Foldnes as executive chef here offers some menu mainstay and new menu as well at Monty's Jakarta. The atmosphere in the afternoon is very pleasant, quiet and thanks to the large glass windows with bright sunlight making it easier for me to take photos of food. Menu offered quite a lot from the  lunch, dinner to the set menu.
On this occasion i tried several menus that started from the first dish, Quinoa & Fragrant Rice Bowl & Smoke Salmon. Well-known quinoa dishes with low carbohydrates mixed with yellow rice, fragrant aroma and then topped by soft salmon pieces that have a texture fitting and spices are not excessive. The taste of quinoa of course you already know has a typical crisp texture. This menu will fit once as a starter.
One of my favorite menu is the Whole Chili Roasted Cauliflower, with a stunning presentation. Large cauliflower size with an appetizing truffle aroma really increased appetite. The crisp texture of each pieces plus the creamy flavor that fit me nicely. This dish will be very delicious once eaten when warm.
I also tried some meat menu like BBQ Wagyu Short Ribs, presentation of some ribs with medium well served, soft texture but there are some rather hard pieces. The taste of BBQ sauce is very tasty with very well suited to the tongue society Jakarta.
Do not forget to taste dessert lovely to be miss, Dark Chocolate Valrhona Whiskey with a very unique presentation. A chocolate with a large egg shape, then poured by hot sauce to make a brown egg melt. Inside is a soft brownie and there are delicious crumbles of peanuts.
Monty's also serves a variety of cocktails that will certainly provide a pleasant sensation. Varied cocktail options can be a vibes when spending time with friends after work while chatting casually. The evening atmosphere at Monty's delivers a different experience like in an elegant exclusive lounge.
The prices offered are high considering Monty's elegant fine dining experience. In addition to the supportive restaurant interiors, various menus with promising quality coupled with very fast service. Monty's will be a place of recommendation for you who want to have a romantic dining on a special occasion.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts. From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable. The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society.
