Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English

Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts.
From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable.
The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society. Some interesting menu such as huevos racheros served on pan, Mexican food, minced beef processed with tomato sauce, eggs then complete with classic salsa and fresh avocado slices. A very seductive appearance, a dominant taste with tomatoes. The minced beef is somewhat not so much taste where only the taste of salty and sour is overall of it.
For Asian menu, Crab Fried Rice can be the right choice. Fried rice with shredded crab meat then served with soy sauce and chili aside. The savory taste of salty that matches the taste of Jakarta's tongue tastes good. To add a spicy sensation, can be combined with chili sauce served but will add a dominant saltiness.
For light meal, you can try Cheesy Dirty Fries. The fries were served with minced meat and a thick cheese dip on it. The resulting savory flavor increases appetite and addiction. Do not forget to try fresh drinks like mix juice, Amarillo Passionfruits & Eggplant Netherlands. Original freshly combined fruits provide the right freshness.
For the price offered fairly standard and affordable range from Rp 40,000 to Rp 90,000. A cozy place with a sophisticated and elegant concept makes eating lunch is fun. The food is served with an intense concept but adjust the taste of Indonesian people so familiar to us.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors

Black Owl, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English A favorite destination for the Jakarta community, which is famous for its hawker centers, from street food, restaurants to elegant lounge bars. This week, another good news for restaurant and bar fans, Black Owl is back in operation from the previous location in the PIK 1 area, now they are presented new location with a different concept. As soon as you pass through this area, you can clearly see the Black Owl with a black building with an owl logo on it. Seen the parking area is quite large and still not too crowded during the day. Once inside, we will pass through a hallway with a very high ceiling. My suggestion is it's best to make a reservation in advance to save your table. Black Owl comes with a restaurant and bar concept, a very stunning interior with dominant dark colors such as black and dark wooden material throughout the large room. The dim lights look calm and elegant, and what's amazing is the giant LCD screen that stretches to the ceiling. There
