New Normal - Grand Hyatt Jakarta

Bahasa l English The new normal transition period is going on, in August I could say that many F&B and hotel businesses have started operating again in order to maintain the economy and jobs for people. Likewise, Grand Hyatt Jakarta is currently re-opening the C's Steak & Seafood restaurant where they are running the latest protocol in accordance with government regulations. I don't have much to say about this restaurant since I have written articles about it several times before but you able to watch the video below. The information I'd like to tell this time is the condition of the dining where the seating area is reduced by 50% so that the restaurant looks more spacious. Then the menu choices became minimized, they decided to only concern the priority dishes such as steak & seafood. The menu is served in digital form using QR code and all staff wearing mask to be secure. The Le Petit Chef campaign still running as normal in a separate area. For the standard,...

Goobne, Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English Korea has become a trend that dominates almost all aspects of music, fashion to culinary. In the Pantai Indah Kapuk area itself, it is very easy for us to find Korean restaurants with unique concepts and diverse food. Goobne is one of the newest restaurants in this area that has only been operating for a few months. From the outside it is clear that a tall white building with a red logo certainly attracts attention. A spacious restaurant room with a dominant white concept makes the atmosphere bright. Visitors are quite dense during lunch hours so that there are several queues. There is a second floor but is only used when there are too many visitors during the day. A little darker than 1st floor but still bright with windows facing out to the street. The menu is offered in the form of Korean Oven Roasted Chicken where other restaurants now sell fried chicken with Korean spices, here visitors will be spoiled with roasted chicken which still maintains a jui...

Ling Ling, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta

Bahasa l English Syah Establishment opened a new restaurant in the South Jakarta area, which the Jakarta society has been waiting for. Ling Ling is certainly familiar if you have ever visited their restaurant that previously operated in the Kuningan area, Jakarta. After just closing for quite time, they again present this brand with a different restaurant concept. Still with the theme of Chinese restaurant, instead exclusive dining they put a casual style with the concept of a cafe that looks relaxed. Standing with a large building, a spacious restaurant room and a modern open kitchen. Only open for about a month, this restaurant is quite crowded by visitors, especially during lunch hours. The menu offered is certainly in the form of Chinese cuisine that is familiar to the Indonesian tongue. One of the popular menus of the Jakarta community is dim sum. Interesting dim sum choices like Lion's Head Meatball, Cheung Fan, Crab Dumpling and my favorite is Salted Egg Cust...

73th Independence Day, Merdeka Menu, Bistro Baron, Central Jakarta

Bahasa l English Indonesia, my homeland and beloved country will be 73 years old on August 17th, 2018. Indonesia is rich in ethnic and cultural diversity, without exception for culinary too. From Sabang to Merauke, a rich spread of flavor can be found on every inch. Welcoming Indonesia's independence day, Bistro Baron together with one of the prestigious shopping mall, Plaza Indonesia, presents the Independent Menu throughout August 2018. Although Bistro Baron is known as a French restaurant, to welcome this month of Independence, they offer a different experience for the Jakarta society. Various Indonesian classic menus are familiar to us and every food presentation is presented in an elegant and beautiful style. One such as Nasi Bakul, adapted from the classic menu of Sundanese. Serve rice with stinky bean and salted fish, then wrapped in banana leaves. There are also interesting Sundanese dishes such as grilled shrimp, perkedel (fried corn patties), salted eggs, f...

Jelajah Indonesia, Seasonal Tastes, The Westin Jakarta

Bahasa l English Friday night is a great day where the weekend has arrived. On this occasion, i attended a dinner at the hotel which became a popular spot this time. The Westin Jakarta with one of the tallest buildings offering stunning views of Jakarta from magnificent height. This time along with Chef Denny Boy Gunawan who is the executive of sous chef and Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo, the chef owner of Nusa Indonesian Gastronomy, an Indonesian restaurant that offers dishes with unique gastronomic techniques in every dish. With the event entitled Jelajah Indonesia, various dishes of local style with traditional spices are familiar to the people of Indonesia. One of my favorite is beef carving rembige, beef cut with good quality so it has a super-tender, fragrant aroma and more delicious when eaten with rembige sauce with typical terasi (shrimp paste) aroma. Available oncom (traditional staple food) rice and sumsum (beef bone marrow) rice with a fragrant aroma and savory t...

Bahasa l English Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts. From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable. The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society.
