Indonesian food is one of the type of culinary with a variety of styles and spices. It does not need to be hard for us to find local food from street to starred restaurant. Recently, one of the famous Indonesian restaurant group whose branches already exist everywhere in Jakarta, especially shopping malls. Sari Rasa Group with one of the famous restaurant, Sate Khas Senayan which we know with Indonesian food specialists, one of them is authentic chicken satay.
This year, Sari Rasa Group introduces a new brand with a fresh and different concept. Gopek Restaurant is a spot with the concept of Indonesian Peranakan, with a combination of modern style and Chinese elements that create a bright atmosphere. This restaurant room connects with the Sate Khas Senayan located next to it.
The place is spacious enough with soft and simple colors, then wooden elements on the chairs and tables are equipped with comfortable couch too. The menu offered is still about Indonesian food. But unlike the menu Sate Khas Senayan which offers authentic Indonesian food, while Gopek provides a role menu between Indonesian and Chinese but it should be said that the menu is familiar with the tongue of Indonesian people and quite easy to find everywhere around town.
One of them like siomay, a typical menu based on fish is certainly popular to most people. The dough of fish and flour becomes a tender dumplings served with vegetables, potatoes and peanut sauce are legit. Siomay which has a soft texture and no fishy smell makes it addictive. Or you can try the unique menu Nasi Campur Spesial in Chinese style which usually uses pork. But not to worry, in Gopek Restaurant, we can enjoy all the food with halal standard.
Appearances are similar but not the same, it is what to describe this food. Hainam rice with chicken and beef cuts, then satay and chilli sauce. The entire ingredients produce a fitting combination and a savory taste makes this menu a favorite. It is also served with gravy stew with dark black color adds a savory taste to the Nasi Campur.
In addition to heavy meals, we can enjoy a classic Indonesian-style dessert like Ice Campur, with a selection of varied, interesting presentations and classic food ingredients that we rarely find in restaurants nowadays. Ice Koteng can be a fresh choice as a dessert, a combination of bird's nest, bengkoang, jali-jali, kitna, basil, kolang kaling and orange kits create beautiful presentations with colorful layers.
Do not forget to taste a variety of fresh drinks that are also good for body such as alang alang sari are available in 3 variants. Passionfruit lemon can be the right choice for you who are looking for freshness. The sense of marking and lemon produce the right combination, not too acidic and the sweetness is not excessive.
The price offered is very affordable, the food with the presentation is large enough for one person. The atmosphere of a simple but comfortable restaurant to make visitors feel at home and the timing of serving food is also quite fast and the cleanliness of the restaurant is maintained certainly make this restaurant worth to visit.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Bahasa l English 2022 is here! Welcoming the new year with joy and enthusiasm. This time I will tell you about a Japanese restaurant in the Golf Island area, PIK which is currently one of the trending destinations in Jakarta. It is undeniable that Japanese cuisine has indeed become one of Jakarta's society's favorites, so many Japanese restaurants can be found here. As a lover of authentic food, I really prefer Japanese restaurants that prioritize quality ingredients and classic tastes, although the current twist food variant is also very interesting. Sushi Maru has been operating since the end of 2021, with a Japanese feel in general using a wooden theme interior throughout the area. There are two floors with a large area capacity. But keep in mind, you should make a reservation before coming here, especially on weekends. One of the top menus here is Japanese Oyster, especially Reiwa Oyster, this dish is only available upon request. With a size that is much larger than the lo...
