Available in Bahasa: Click Here

Good news for culinary lovers Jakarta, Cuca Flavor come back from Bali present with a menu of unique, beautiful and creative. Chef Kevin Cherkas with his team held a Tasting Table located in Cassis Kitchen which is a modern European dining in Central Jakarta area. On this occasion, we are invited to enjoy the menu by Cuca with typical dining tapas but slightly different where we will enjoy a full set menu dinner.
9 menus will be presented in this event, a variety of Cuca specialties that have been chosen by Chef Kevin to pamper the tongue of Jakarta society. The menu begins with a 3-course appetizer that is served together those are, Bruschetta Lollipop, serving two crackers resembling lollipop on a gorgeous red tomato pile, sweet tomatoes, parmesan & rosemary. The taste of Italy is so dominant here, the texture is crunchy with the well done seasoning.
Then there's Hot Potato, at a glance this one sound a basic dish, but the fragrant aroma of kluwak gives a great sensation. Clearly black kluwak seasoning almost covered two potatoes on it. The texture of soft potatoes with kluwak flavor that is the spice of Indonesia is very delicious. Another appetizer menu, Chili Satay, chicken satay shaped red chilli sure draw big attention. Chicken satay & a layer of red chili with a soft texture, savory seasoning is a typical taste of Indonesia.
The next menu we were treated to a variety of seafood dishes are fascinating. Starting with Smoked Butterfish, a rich-flavored fish with the right freshness, soft texture served with beet yogurt also a beautiful pink color, zucchini pickles and parsley in the form of crumbles underneath. Each element is combined to produce amazing taste.
Then there is Rice Tempura Soft Shell Crab, a menu that is currently quite trendy in Jakarta. Soka crab with soft shell wrapped in fried flour with a crunchy texture accompanied by fresh pineapple chunks, rice rengginang (rice cracker) and curry leaves that give a fragrant aroma. And there is a Grilled Octopus that is served beautifully with Asian-style gazpacho, fresh apple chunks, cauliflower and cilantro. A fragrant, smoky aroma, delicious octopus texture and other combinations are delicious.
In addition to seafood, we also enjoy unique beef dishes. Processed beef served with pieces of crisp potatoes, onions and boiled eggs ready to melt on it. A savory taste blends into one and becomes the main dish that is so tempting.
For dessert, we were served with a Bali Breakfast, just like an egg with a white colored and yellow sponge that resembles a fried egg. Apparently this is a dessert with whipped coconut, yellow sprouts derived from mango and there are passion fruit. In addition, the second dessert of Brownie, with a pretty unique presentation, a dish of chocolate mousse, sugar palm ice cream and chocolate crumbs with a bitter and sweet taste together to produce the right combination.
This dinner experience is perfect with the cozy, classy Cassis restaurant ambiance accompanied by slow rock music that makes the evening atmosphere hype. Friendly service and good timing food presentation is certainly a supporting factor of this Tasting Table event.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Real Ingredients of Japan, Sushi Maru, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English 2022 is here! Welcoming the new year with joy and enthusiasm. This time I will tell you about a Japanese restaurant in the Golf Island area, PIK which is currently one of the trending destinations in Jakarta. It is undeniable that Japanese cuisine has indeed become one of Jakarta's society's favorites, so many Japanese restaurants can be found here. As a lover of authentic food, I really prefer Japanese restaurants that prioritize quality ingredients and classic tastes, although the current twist food variant is also very interesting. Sushi Maru has been operating since the end of 2021, with a Japanese feel in general using a wooden theme interior throughout the area. There are two floors with a large area capacity. But keep in mind, you should make a reservation before coming here, especially on weekends. One of the top menus here is Japanese Oyster, especially Reiwa Oyster, this dish is only available upon request. With a size that is much larger than the lo...
