Zenbu & Beatrice Quarter, PIK Avenue, North Jakarta

Available in Bahasa: Click Here

PIK Avenue considered as a new mall in Jakarta. It is located at Pantai Indah Kapuk area where it famous with many kind of restaurants. Not left out, this mall also has been crowded visitors during weekend.

This time i was visited one of Japanese restaurant that has been trending in Jakarta. I noticed all of their outlets has been crowded by a customers. Zenbu is popular by their specialized dish is Mozaru.

Mozaru is a baked rice with various of seasoning and katsu topping. This restaurant has quite unique concept where it built along with another brand is Beatrice Quarter that apparently is a same group with different management. Beatrice Quarter with little space narrow room, while Zenbu at the outside part.

This restaurant considered not big, maybe could fit about 10-20 persons. As the recommendation, i ordered one of Mozaru is Zenbu Mozaru. It is a baked butter rice topped by chicken & prawn katsu. It looks stunning on oval bowl and put on a wooden tray. It has beautiful golden yellow color of mozzarella cheese and looks tempting.

It has good aroma, butter rice cooked well done, sweet and creamy. Then chicken has soft texture is really good. Only i think a portion of sizes they served is quite small and bit pricey.

In here, other than Zenbu dish. we may also order dish from Brearice Quarter too. This restaurant is famous by their western fusion dishes, but most popular dish here is the dessert & cake. One of recommendation is Chocolate Overload, a toast bread in square shape poured by melted chocolate that sticky and topped by cold vanilla ice cream.

I think it is just fine, texture of bread does not soft enough or bit rough. But chocolate is good, not too sweet and ice cream sure delightful. They have quite good service and friendly, but somehow it was bit difficult to get a waiter since i was seated too far from the front desk.

New Opening, August, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This month has indeed become a moment where the restaurant and hotel business has begun to attract customers with various offers. Not to forget, the opening of several new restaurants has also colored the city of Jakarta recently. One of them is August, which is located in the Sudirman area, more precisely at Sequis Tower. This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
