 The bright sun blazing at the noon. This weekend was super hot weather, but it won't turn down people passion for going out and spend time with some mates or family. Just like at the PIK area, apparently this weekend, i had chance to visit bunch of cafe around here.


From the outside, Kamakura looks beautiful through the giant window glass and decorated by narrow tall wooden set in a row. Then it has clearly Kamakura letter written from up to the bottom. Kamakura was built up inspired by Japanese cafe that has been trending in Sakura land at there.

In here, Kamakura wants to bring an ambiance and concept just as much as cafe in Japan that really hype among young generation. Modern interior, bright color has been dominated aroudn the cafe. Then, it has plant decoration gave a nice touch on ceiling too.


Each tables are set along with pretty blue couches that looks comfortable. Don't forget tables are built with mobile phone charger spot that has become people needs nowadays. One of main dish here is the pasta. Similar with Italian, but sure Japanese pasta has different presentation and taste.

What interesting here is the Pasta Tomato Cream sauce With Crab. A huge bowl of pasta with stunning yellow color, poured by shredded cheese then topped by gorgeous crab that looks beautiful. Pasta has balanced firm and soft texture, then sauce is really thick and creamy. Crab is fresh enough, only it was bit difficult to enjoy it along with pasta when we need to peeled out the crab from it shell.

Other than pasta, what favorable dish here is the dessert with Japanese Pancake. Normally we used to found a pancake at the Italian or western restaurant with round flat shape then topped with ice cream or bunch of berries.

At Kamakura, pancake has different kind of shape. With round thicker pancake than Italian pancake. Then it also served along with cold ice cream, sweet potato puree and azuki or sweet red bean. Pancake has soft texture, balanced sweetness, and with various choice of topping sure created a different sensation.

It has an quite high price standard indeed. But we need to realized, with delicate taste been offered, then huge size of food serving, i may say it is worth it enough. Other than that, Kamakura also offering a nice concept and ambiance of modern Japanese cafe that is comfortable and of course gave a nice dining experience.

Phoenix Gastrobar, Newest Aesthetic Lounge, Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta

Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts.
