En Japanese Dining, Senayan City, South Jakarta

One evening, after work. I was with some mates planned to go to restaurant at Mulia Hotel South Jakarta. But that night was absolutely a nightmare traffic around way to there. About almost 2 hrs we just about arrived at that area, and we think about still about 3-4 km to reach the restaurant. So we decided to turn around and head to Senayan City Mall which is closer.

After long way through the traffic, we still not sure what to eat since our plan cancelled. Then thought about couple minutes, we were going to One of Japanese restaurant. It is called En Japanese Dining.

Front of this restaurant, spotted a fish pond with some beautiful interior make up a pop up garden. I could not see much inside the restaurant, it only has quite small glass door to get in.

Apparently, this one is absolutely huge space restaurant. With japanese wooden concept all over the place. Then we may see ingredients displayed while pass through to table. Then it has unique interior by the raw of wood made a bird nest shape looks like. Also there is available couch area where we could have relaxed dining.

First dish i have here is cute Imami Tofu. Round shape tofu with clean white color. It has lovely texture and taste good. I feels like to eat more and more.

Then i have the Chawanmushi. Japanese egg custard dish. It has silky texture and it cooked nicely seasoning. It is better eat it while still warm.

Next is Double Sushi Salmon. I am not fascinated by this one. Salmon does not feel fresh enough and i am sure never really like custom sushi with thick mayo sauce. But for some people i guess mayo is one of good choice take along with sushi.

Another great dish here is Crab Chahan. Japanese fried rice topped with cut of crab and served along in the thick sauce.

I am sure love this one, this is really similar with one of chinese food. Rice has really tasty seasoning and perfect texture. Crab is crunchy, not much seasoning since rice and soup absolutely fulled of taste.

After had some heavy meals, i also have dessert for closing. The beautiful Honey Bread with fulled of shredded cheese. As not fan of cheese, so i did not take much of it. Only i think bread is good not the best, it is lovely taste and texture onyl not rich enough.

New Opening, August, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This month has indeed become a moment where the restaurant and hotel business has begun to attract customers with various offers. Not to forget, the opening of several new restaurants has also colored the city of Jakarta recently. One of them is August, which is located in the Sudirman area, more precisely at Sequis Tower. This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
