 Recently I went to one of Middle Eastern restaurant spotted around Central Jakarta. This place has been famous for quite time among foodies also people. From outside, this restaurant doesn’t look like one, instead it is look like an office building with dark and plain color.




But when get inside, it sure would amaze your eyes with authentic and beautiful Middle East theme. Various of colors, pattern and pretty furniture sure completed the ambiance of this restaurant. We welcome by friendly staff, they really give us a warm and exclusive treatment.


This restaurant has really huge space for customers, they even stand by 5 floors of building. Each floor has similar concept but there’s a smoking-non smoking area, dining area with dancer, it is interesting though. During early lunch, not much customer coming yet, so it was totally mild and quiet in here.


They do offer a huge menu book with cover made of wooden, it is available with many kind of Middle Eastern foods start from appetizer, main course, dessert and also drinks as well. Before starting our lunch, we had an authentic drink called Adeni Tea. It looks like a milk tea with thick cream color, served in pretty pot with bunch of cups.


It absolutely taste strong and many kind of spices I could taste here. I am not sure what else spices, but sure it is not suit with my tongue. Then we have Ruz Briyani Chicken, the authentic Middle  Eastern rice cooked with chicken and as you guess, mostly Middle Eastern food has strong spices and seasoning. But for this one, I found out it doesn’t strong enough, rice kind of dry and not authentic enough. Maybe it is suit with Indonesian tongue, but I was expected more than this.


I must say they have nice choices for food, but most of all, it does have spices or seasoning are not strong enough for Middle Eastern kind of foods. Even though like that, I can tell all food have beautiful presentation, attractive and sure tempting.




For ambiance, I can assure you that they do offering a nice and awesome dining spot with authentic, colorful, and exclusive interior. One this you should do when you get here, just get ready for taking picture. Each spot could be nice place to have a photoshoot. But for your information, you need to ready for quite high price food to spend.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
