Seven 8 Nine, Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta

Available in Indonesia Language: http://foodiozid.blogspot.com/2016/11/seven-8-nine-kebun-jerukjakarta-barat.html

In another chance at function organised by Foodenak Indonesia, i have been visited the food court with various choice of food. Seven 8 Nine is located around Jalan Panjang, Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta. From the street it sure looks much visible with huge signage and wide parking space at front.

In this function, of course been participated by few of bloggers and reviewers in town and everyone seems excited. This place has quite huge spac with semi outdoor concept, considerably today has a good weather and we are going to try some food from 5 of tenants.

First tenant is Bakso Kota Cak Man. From it name, sure they are offering meatballs in various choice. Overall, i found out they have nice meatball soup, perfect seasoning and not oily. Meatballs also has good texture also real meat is up here, only the noodles won't reach my expectation which is not in good texture and taste too plain.

Then it is available a Lotus Thai Express which is offering various of Thaialnd cuisines. We were offered by Seafood Tom Yum, Pad Thau, Khao Rad Na, and Basil Chicken as i remembered. As A Thai food fan, i think these not quite close to my expectation, some event not good enough and seafood ingredients cosiderable not fresh so put out another smell.

I think Som Tam is fine, with fresh ingredients, sour seasoning and balanced spicyness. Khao Rad Na also acceptable, tasty and quite good when it served along with white rice.

I am not recommended for tom yum, it doesn't taste good enough about the seasoning and seafood absolutely fishy, overall only sour taste and i just don't fit with it.

Other than Thai foods, we also offered by American food by Georg Peck Cafe. With their top menu by burger and hotdog which is quite common in our town. But sadly, i found out it is just like a homemade dish that i could have done by myself, with much affordable price i am sure they are not provide a premium quality of patty and sausage. Well you can tell, there's a taste so there's a price.

After that, we also offered by many kind of shaved ice with various of toppings by Pojok Seribu Rasa. They have Es Campur, Es Duren and Es Cendol. As durian is not in my list, so i did not eat any of it, but other both ice sure are good. Balanced sweetness, varous of ingredients and of course it is cold & fresh.

Of course, after finished various of food, we also served by many kind of drink we may choose. Once again, it is no a perfection talking about the food also the drink. Just like this Avocado Juice, i Think is too much water and chocolate sauce, so then the avocado won't taste much here.

Actually this is not my first time visit to this place. Some of tenants i've tried before are quite interestiong though. But in this chance, i might say i do not impressed, even they offered various of food with affordable price but back to talking about taste, it may not lie.

For you who'd like to come here, you might need to find out any information about foods that you are going to try so you could be satisfied enjoy the dining.

New Opening, August, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This month has indeed become a moment where the restaurant and hotel business has begun to attract customers with various offers. Not to forget, the opening of several new restaurants has also colored the city of Jakarta recently. One of them is August, which is located in the Sudirman area, more precisely at Sequis Tower. This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
