I rarely visited PIK area, North Jakarta. This area is famous for its many restaurants with interesting choices and concepts. On weekends, normally very crowded once visitors here until you are quite difficult to find a spot at parking lot. One of the interesting restaurant here is Ying Thai, a typical Thai restaurant with beautiful interiors and of course Thai culinary which is my favorite.

Some information says that this is part of Ying Thai which also exists in Melbourne, Australia but please note that this restaurant has absolutely nothing to do with it. The restaurant has a large area with Thai ornament shades throughout the room. Front view with large glass windows makes it very convenient for me to take photos of the product. On the inside is a bit darker especially with the dominant black color on the side of the room.

The menu offered in the form of various dishes typical of Thailand but adjusted to the tongue of Jakarta. My visit in the month of Ramadan last time had tasted a special menu, rice cone served with a variety of dishes typical of Thailand. What's interesting is the rice cone used blue color with natural ingredients that is the cilotris flower commonly used in food production.

Fragrant aroma with a taste of savory rice enjoyed with a dish of tender pandan chicken, sweet savory pad thai, minced pieces of meat and spicy that gives a balanced combination of taste. In addition, i also enjoy the herbal drink creations of Ying Thai are fresh and unique.

Weekends during the day quite crowded visitors, especially the families who are enjoying lunch. The convenient place, the popular location and the various cuisines suitable with Jakarta society certainly become a culinary recommendation worth a try.

Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts. From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable. The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society. So like this bar that just opened in the Pantai Indah Kapuk area of Jakarta. Phoenix Gastrobar, a new concept presented by HWG, is one of the newest brands by the pioneers in the restaurant, bar, and club industry today. Next to each other between the two clubs presented before, are Tiger & Dragon Bar. The concept offered at Phoenix is completely different from previous HWG outlets. First I'll say the interior is absolutely stunning, with 3 story bar & lounge with stairs that reminds me of Hogwarts, the school in the Harry Potter movies.
