Hilal Dinner, Pullman Central Park, West Jakarta

Bahasa l English

It does not feel the month of Ramadan is the third week in which the big day of Lebaran ready to be welcomed by all Muslims in the world including Indonesia. In the middle of this Ramadhan, i had the opportunity to return to Pullman Central Park, one of the 5 star hotel in West Jakarta area which this time offers an iftar experience with an elegant Middle Eastern atmosphere.
Located in the hall area of this hotel with a large capacity and this time with the theme of Ramadan. We will find a variety of stylish Middle Eastern decorations and can be an interesting photo spot. The atmosphere of breaking fasting quite busy became a regular news where seen the number of groups from the company to the family to enjoy iftar together during evening.
The menu offered this time certainly related to the Middle East which became the main concept of Hilal here. A variety of sweet and fresh ta'jil (Indonesia Desserts kind) will be a delightful appetizer of course. Fasting breaks are served with a Middle Eastern theme and there are also some familiar Indonesian menu choices.
Once there, i saw the crowds of visitors at the opening hours of fasting. Seen some groups from a company with a number of people who almost meet half the amount of seating in the ballroom. There are also special areas lesehan (seating on floor or mats) with Middle Eastern tent decor is very beautiful. The atmosphere is comfortable and interesting to make visitors enjoy breaking the fast here.
The typical Middle Eastern dish served has a flavor that is adjusted to the taste of typical Indonesia i think. Appearances like Middle Eastern food but has a dominant savory taste to salty. If you used to enjoy authentic Middle Eastern food, you will feel the dominant spice in various dishes rather than the strong savory taste of salt.
But as a lover of saltiness, i do still quite enjoy breaking the fast here. The food is very tasty fit with the tongue Jakarta society. In addition, visitors will be spoiled with the appearance of the Middle Eastern-style dancers with lively music. Visitors definitely will experience the breaking fast in the Middle Eastern concept with a comfortable atmosphere.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
