Holiday is over, I just had short vacation at hometown and back to capital city. Jakarta. Back in apartment, i realized i have empty fridge here, so i think to have dinner at somewhere. Just though i need go to grocery too, so i decided went to Central Park Mall. Before do grocery, sure i have to take dinner first. was quiet time for me to think about it, after i decided to try new place i never been before. It's called Hog's Breath, what i know this brand is came from Kangaroo origin, Australia.
As the title, Hog's Breath is specialist for Steaks, it has concept classic grilled steaks bar. wooden colors, from chairs & tables, some car plates. Good news, it has a promo that night, by credit card we may buy one get one for Boss Hog size which is the largest steak, it's about 300g. That is huge, you know. Without any starter, so i just ordered for the main dish i.e. Calamari Prime Rib Steak & Blue Cheese Prime Rib Steak.

It's full plate served. huge steak, mushroom sauce, bunch of seasoned fried calamari, fried curly fries, and some veggies. In Hog's Breath, all steak are served with medium up level, which is we are not able order any rare level of meat. For me, i found it fine since i prefer medium steak. But for some people, prefer medium rare or probably rare level to have it own taste.
Steak is good, good texture, nice medium color, and exactly right prime rib always has bunch of fat on the middle part. Fried calamari is crunchy, bit over seasoning, quiet sweet actually. Curly fries is good, crunchy as well and veggies been boiled nicely in good color and texture. Another plate is Blue Cheese Prime Rib Steak.
Same huge steak, with squeeze of blue cheese sauce, mashed potato, and some veggies. for this one, steak not really nicely cook as previous one. outside color looks good, inside bit pale and texture kind of tough meat compare first one. cheese sauce taste good, tasty. Mashed potato is have nice texture, but under seasoning. And Veggies cook nicely done, i think they are make sure all veggies served in good way.
In one point, steaks are good, beautiful plating, but i think they are need to keep the consistent of foods. Interior restaurant concept is good, but i just do not feel comfy with a lot of bugs that night especially mosquito flying around the table. Service just fine, when supposed to be waitress should ask what customers prefer for the sauce and side dishes, i even need to approach here to ask about it since she did not mention anything about it. Nice classy steak restaurant, i think would be much better with great service as well.
