French Bakery Cafe, Monsieur Spoon, Urban Farm, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English

Good news this May for the Jakarta community. A well-known brand from Bali opened its branch in Jakarta with a slightly different concept. Monsieur Spoon has been around for a long time in Bali with several branches that become Jakarta's tourist destinations while on vacation in Bali. Monsieur Spoon Jakarta is located at Urban Farm Pantai Indah Kapuk which is currently a hype area with various interesting cafe and restaurant brands.

Daytime visits to this area are indeed hot weather, especially in the hot sun. Using a simple outfit is the best choice when visiting here. Once you arrive at Monsieur Spoon you don't need to be surprised by the long queues since this is a new restaurant with a popular name. The attractive exterior and interior forms resemble a cafe in France with decorations that can be instagramable content.

The area is not too big, but the atmosphere is comfortable with elegant classy seating. According to the concept, you will find various French-style bakeries and pastries are available on display. Each visitor will queue for a takeaway. While waiting for your turn, you can see various pastries on the display so you can immediately choose what you want to get.

Croissants are one of Monsieur Spoon's mainstay products where croissants with a moist character, have good cavity volume of the layers, fragrant butter aroma, and an affordable price with Plain Croissants for only Rp. 18,000. Now, different things from Monsieur Spoon in Bali, here you can also enjoy a variety of savory foods from sandwiches, pasta, steaks to beef bourguignon are also available here.

Experience at Monsieur Spoon Jakarta, you can feel the atmosphere of hanging out at a cafe in Paris. But of course at a more friendly price. My advice is to come here preferably in the afternoon where the sunshine at noon is quite hot and you can see Monsieur Spoon surrounded by a large glass. Customers and long queues will be the normal scene for now. Improvements to the serving time need to be made as well as server service consistency. The price is relatively more affordable compared to other similar concept restaurants.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Real Ingredients of Japan, Sushi Maru, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English 2022 is here! Welcoming the new year with joy and enthusiasm. This time I will tell you about a Japanese restaurant in the Golf Island area, PIK which is currently one of the trending destinations in Jakarta. It is undeniable that Japanese cuisine has indeed become one of Jakarta's society's favorites, so many Japanese restaurants can be found here. As a lover of authentic food, I really prefer Japanese restaurants that prioritize quality ingredients and classic tastes, although the current twist food variant is also very interesting. Sushi Maru has been operating since the end of 2021, with a Japanese feel in general using a wooden theme interior throughout the area. There are two floors with a large area capacity. But keep in mind, you should make a reservation before coming here, especially on weekends. One of the top menus here is Japanese Oyster, especially Reiwa Oyster, this dish is only available upon request. With a size that is much larger than the lo...
