Liberta, Central Jakarta

Bahasa l English

The rainy season has caused severe floods in several areas in Jakarta, especially in the Kelapa Gading area. Other than that, there are also consequences such as traffic jams and most of the businesses shut down for a moment. Well, this time I am telling you one restaurant that is quite far from the flooded area. Liberta is located close by the Tanah Abang area. More precisely at the Pavillion Apartment on Jl. K.H. Mas Mansyur, Central Jakarta.

In this location, there are indeed some famous restaurants such as Tucano's, Harum Manis, Hokkaido Izakaya and one of the latest, Liberta. From the name, you can guess that this restaurant carries the Italian concept. The area is quite spacious with exclusive interiors such as elegant dark colors. But the private room has a different ambiance with a room full of the bright sun during the day and shades of white.

The menu variant here is quite a lot like the antipasti, Liberta Charcuterie Board, 3 types of meat slices such as salami, coppa and prosciutto de parma which are served with pickles, figs like citrus and breadsticks. Well, this one needs a fresh quality ingredient so that the resulting aroma is appropriate. There is also Veal Tartare Crostino, this is quite interesting. Veal tartare prepare with tonnato sauce, a mixture of mayonnaise and grounded tuna so that it has a unique aroma and it served on a crisp sourdough.

Talking about an Italian restaurant is definitely related to the pizza menu yah. Like the concept, the choice of pizza in Liberta is indeed diverse. Short Ribs pizza is one of my favorites. Hot pizza topped by tender beef slices, bit salty but tasty enough. The thing is somehow the flavors that served here are adjusted to the palate of Jakarta's society which is pretty savory. The Ricotta Ravioli Truffle is also one of my favorites. Ravioli with thin skin filled in omega 3 eggs that are ready to melt and creamy parmesan cheese.

For overall food in Liberta is considered modern Italian dining that is not truly classic authentic. For the ingredients used they are very good so there's no problem. It's just that some dishes on pizza or pasta are too salty. You can book using Chope to make an easy online reservation. Liberta can be an option for exclusive romantic dining as well you know.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
