Bandara International Hotel, managed by Accor, Jakarta

Bahasa l English

Staycation is one of new trend activity to do for the Jakarta community both for families, kids or millennials youth generation. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit one of the hotels located very close to Soekarno Hatta international airport. This hotel has become one of the destinations for those of you who want to get away from the city hustle-bustle and probably try to catch up on a flight since it is not far from the airport. Not only that, I could say this is an amazing weekend getaway where we are pampered with a calm atmosphere as a resort.

The location is very private away from the highway, into this resort area, you will feel a very different atmosphere, it seems like a cozy island away from the Jakarta. I was staying in the Junior Suite room, large bedroom area with a living room. A Comfortable homey atmosphere with typical Indonesian decorations.

In this hotel, of course, equipped with facilities as 5-star, a large swimming pool with shady outdoor area, then a gym, two restaurants and also a lounge where guests can relax. Not forgetting the jacuzzi facilities separated between male and female area, it is also available with both hot or cold water inside as well as an adequate sauna room. On this occasion, I also had some meals at the restaurants. Linjani is the main all-day dining which is usually for breakfast. While Bumbu Restaurant is a specialist dining for Indonesian cuisines.

Staying here becomes a very pleasant weekend, some sides of the hotel seem to need renewal due to the hotel's age. But I still enjoyed how calm the atmosphere was when I was here. For a moment, I felt I was outside of the hustle and bustle of Jakarta, then the mild and bright air gave a comfortable feeling.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Real Ingredients of Japan, Sushi Maru, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English 2022 is here! Welcoming the new year with joy and enthusiasm. This time I will tell you about a Japanese restaurant in the Golf Island area, PIK which is currently one of the trending destinations in Jakarta. It is undeniable that Japanese cuisine has indeed become one of Jakarta's society's favorites, so many Japanese restaurants can be found here. As a lover of authentic food, I really prefer Japanese restaurants that prioritize quality ingredients and classic tastes, although the current twist food variant is also very interesting. Sushi Maru has been operating since the end of 2021, with a Japanese feel in general using a wooden theme interior throughout the area. There are two floors with a large area capacity. But keep in mind, you should make a reservation before coming here, especially on weekends. One of the top menus here is Japanese Oyster, especially Reiwa Oyster, this dish is only available upon request. With a size that is much larger than the lo...
