In 2019 the presence of the Intercontinental Jakarta brought fresh air to the Jakarta community. International chain hotels that have long been active in the world with a very elegant luxury concept.

All of that is clearly reflected in this hotel in the Pondok Indah area. With a touch of pastel colors, it gives an elegant vibes, combined with artistic ornaments in several angles, adding a bright atmosphere. Hanging crystal chandeliers really show the luxury of this hotel. The Lounge is located right in the lobby area where the open-area looks so spacious.

On weekends, I visited here to enjoy afternoon tea which is now an activity that is in demand by the people in town. Spending a relaxing weekend while enjoying a variety of canapé and the dishes or premium coffee is really fun. Basically, afternoon tea is not really my thing when talking about the many sweet dishes such as cakes or other pastries, but I am a person who likes socialists who can meet with friends and talk to each other about interesting things.

Finding a place where I can relax and feel comfortable is certainly very important. With an elegant concept, I felt that at The Lounge. Comfortable couches, various dishes such as dim sum, satay, even salmon wellington. For a afternoon tea, this is a very different thing than usual. Guests will be welcome to take every meal all you wanted. After a salty dish, of course there are also sweet treats such as various cakes that are arranged beautifully on several shelves that are quite high. And do not forget to find in the corner area, there is a mixer sound that is processing ice cream using a nitrogen compound technique that produces a cold reaction.

While enjoying these various dishes, you can while tasting premium tea from TWG and local blend coffee that offers Indonesian coffee flavors. What is so interesting is that the teapot that is used here is truly charming and displays the luxury side. Sounds bit too much, especially talking about luxury hotels which usually offer packages that cost money alot. But don't worry, the price offered for afternoon tea at The Lounge, Intercontinental Jakarta is only Rp. 188,000 ++, even all you can eat, it's amazing for an offer at an Intercontinental class hotel.
