Koba Korean BBQ, Living World, Banten

Bahasa l English

Today, let's talk about the popular Korean cuisine in  Jakarta. When i think of Korea, i think of the drama love series, catchy K-Pop tunes and of course their Korean BBQ beef. Located in Living World Alam Sutera, Koba is amongs the restaurant list in this culinary spot and definitely not to be missed.
Koba specializes in Korean BBQ which is favourite among the Jakarta community. High quality grilled meat with various cutting options is available here. At Koba, you can have the full experience of cooking the meat on the table on your own. There is also Family platter in the menu that includes a variety of beef brisket, US Striploin and marinated chicken - perfect for family occasions!
When the grilling starts, the fragrant aroma of the meat starts to spread throughout the restaurant. You don't have to cook for too long to make the meat juicy and tender. The taste of th marinated sauce compliments the meat the best possbile way.
If you're not big fan of grilled meat, give the Koba Dancing Rice a try. This dish is staple Korean dish with rice, minced beef, kimchi, vegetables and eggs. To eat it, stir everything together so the elements can produce a combination of flavors that will tickle your taste buds. Don't forget about the dessert. My favourite is the Gangnam Koba Bingsoo. The combination of shaved ice topped with fresh toppings will satisfy your sweet tooth.
If you want to eat Koba, don't forget to book a table with Chope. On top of securing a table, Chope also offers a Happy Hour discount where you can get 50% off! I was at Koba on a Saturday morning and i'm glad i made the booking. This place gets crowded during lunchtime. Take a look now on Chope. The app is available for download on IOS & Android.

New Opening, August, Jakarta

Bahasa l English This month has indeed become a moment where the restaurant and hotel business has begun to attract customers with various offers. Not to forget, the opening of several new restaurants has also colored the city of Jakarta recently. One of them is August, which is located in the Sudirman area, more precisely at Sequis Tower. This restaurant has opened on November 25th, 2021. The elegant and premium concept can be seen from the exterior and interior of the restaurant. The area is quite spacious with a charming bar in the front room, then an open kitchen which provides an interesting experience for guests to see the activities of the chefs in the lively kitchen. On weekends, you can see the number of guests filling the entire table, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance . When I had dinner there, they happened to have no available alcohol because they were taking care of licensing and distribution issues. So I brought wine with a corkage fee of IDR 250,000

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
