Han Palace, Grand Mercure Harmoni, Central Jakarta

A short story here about one chinese restaurant spotted inside the Grand Mercure Hotel around Harmoni area. As we know this district is quite crowded where there's a mall, business area, stores and busway station too.

Grand Mercure hotel has been built since long time ago. Actually they have two restaurant inside. One is harmoni square and another one is Han Palace. What different here is one is serving international food which is usually for guest breakfast or dinner, then another one is specialized in chinese cuisines.

Han Palace is serving all you can eat dim sum buffet also ala carte menu as well. Since it still early morning, so i planned to eat not too much. I ordered only two menus here. First dish is Steamed Tofu with Fish Han Palace Style. A long plate of white tofu topped with white fish as well in seasoning clear sauce.

I am in love with this food. Tofu such in moist texture and fish is super delicate. It also has nice seasoning, fried onion on top sure give a high sense of taste and it is good indeed.

Another dish i have here is Yang Chow Fried Rice. It seems just like typical fried rice with bunch of ingredients. As usually chinese fried rice doesn't use much of soy sauce.

This one is good too. Fried rice cooked well done and has nice seasoning too. Only two main dish i have here but i do satisfied with it. Two delicate dish with great seasoning and cook nicely.

Too bad i don't have any pictures of it place, but they have nice theme though. a red and cream color surrounding this place and of course strong chinese ornament filled the interior around.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...

Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts. From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable. The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society. Some interesting menu such as huevos racheros served on pan, Mexican food, minced beef processed with tomato sauce, eggs then complete with classic salsa and fresh avocad...
