Di akhir pekan yang cerah, seperti biasa aku mencari ide untuk hang out di kala ingin menghabiskan waktu yang santai. Menggunakan Chope, tentu memudahkanku mendapatkan ide tempat nongkrong dan restoran baru di Jakarta. Ground Up ini sebenarnya sudah beroperasi cukup lama, dari tahun 2015. Lokasinya di kawasan Tebet dimana aku memang tergolong jarang explore area sana. 

Dari luar hingga ke dalam, sekilas tampak seperti sebuah coffee shop pada umumnya yang identik dengan konsep interior warna wooden, begitu pula pola batu bata di keseluruhan ruangan. Area yang minimalis dilengkapi dengan beberapa dekorasi bingkai gambar, lalu tanaman sintetis dan display miniature yang mempercantik restoran. Kenyataanya, Ground Up Gourmet Restaurant ini merupakan sebuah restoran yang menyajikan aneka hidangan Asian & Western dan pada dasarnya mereka memang bukan specialiy minuman kopi.

Beberapa menu andalan yang ditawarkan cukup menarik dan familiar untuk Jakarta community. Hidangan dengan twist yang disajikan dengan presentasi cukup berbeda. Salah satunya Bone Marrow Spaghetti, hidangan pasta dengan tulang iga sapi yang diletakan tegak berdiri di atas pasta sehingga cukup menarik perhatian, lalu disiram dengan cheese sauce dari atas sehingga memberikan aroma yang harum. Tekstur pasta khas fusion dengan cream sauce yang pekat dan sumsum dari sapi yang gurih. Harga yang cukup terjangkau, hanya Rp 72.000.

Lalu ada Big Crunchy Beef with Sambal Matah. Presentasi yang cukup unik, nasi dikelilingi dengan daging sapi dalam balutan tepung yang garing dan topping sambal matah yang banyak. Konsep yang menarik, daging sapi agak kering setelah melalu proses penggorengan, untuk tekstur garing cukup menyenangkan, rasa sambal matah menjadi juara di hidangan ini.

Begitu pula pada hidangan Spaghetti Sambal Matah. Hidangan fusion khas Italia yang tentu populer bagi Jakarta community. Hidangan simple, spaghetti dengan olive oil, potongan ayam digoreng crispy dan sambal matah yang menggoyang lidah. Setiap suapan membuat ketagihan, rasa gurih dan pedas menjadi andalan dari hidangan ini. Harga yang sangat terjangkau Rp 57.000.

One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend.
