Good France 2019, Jakarta

Bahasa l English Good news for the Jakarta community. Good France, which is an international gastronomic festival which was simultaneously held on March 21, 2019, in major cities of Indonesia from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali & Manado. This is an event that has existed since 2015 organized by the French Institute of Indonesia and the French Embassy in Indonesia together with the French Tourism Agency Atout France.

A little message from the French Ambassador to Indonesia, Jean-Charles Berthonnet, " The Good France 2019 celebration on March 21 is momentum to appreciate French gastronomy which was recorded as UNESCO's world cultural heritage while appreciating the values contained in it, the spirit of sharing, togetherness and caring on the environment.


In 2019, Good France raised the theme of Provence which would become a world gastronomic tourist destination. With this theme, Provence is identical with Chefs meeting, food markets, Picnics & City Garden. In Jakarta, there will be 21 restaurants that will enliven Good France 2019. These including the following:

At this 2019 Good France festival, each restaurant will present a special menu with a Provence theme from both French classics to a unique modern twist menu. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor.
