Delicate Chinese Food, Soup Restaurant, Senayan City

Been long time chinese dish spread out around the world, and we surely found many chinese restaurant in town. This time i'd like to tell about one restaurant at Senayan City, South Jakarta. It's Soup Restaurant, spotted at lv.4. From at the front, this place absolutely has chinese concept by the interior. Basicly they are serving soups with variants but they also serve main chinese cuisines, just like Ta wan, Njun Njan, or imperial kitchen. But i can tell they have different taste and flavor than others.

Lunch started by small plate of boiled peanuts with chili sauce, peanuts taste sweey, soft texture and sauce bit sour but nice indeed.

Just done the appetizer, main course cames out really quick by time. first came out is  Samsui Ginger Chicken.

This is absolutely typical old chinese dish. Rich of flavor, chicken cooked well done, nice color and much perfect with the oily ginger dip.

Next dish i have is  Salted Veggies with Minced Beef. It is classic dish which my mom'd love to cook at home. And i like it much.

Vegetables is in balanced seasoning. good texture, and minced beef cooked nicely really blended well with the vegetables. It is really recommended with white warm rice.

Then i have Penang Fried Fish. It's just like common Fried Gurame with flour. But this one has authentic sauce poured on it and it's really tasty.

Beautiful golden brown color, it is crispy and sauce mixed well on it and meat cooked well done inside, it does nice white texture. quiet huge portion should give 4 people enough.

Last dish here is Fried Lettuce with Oyster Sauce. It is fresh lettuce fried well done in tasty oyster sauce.

Nice green color, lettuce is fresh, and sauce is tasty.  Surely all these dishes are best served with white rice. But in this time, i don't order a rice. just think to have more of side dish than a rice.

Overall, dishes are good in here. It is absolutely taste traditional chinese culinary.  great seasoning and flavor, all ingredients cooked well done. Service is good, foods are served very quick, and place is also nice, mild with family ambience. For price, i think it's normal for chinese food and in such restaurant at mall.

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors ...
