Bread Street Kitchen, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Available in Bahasa: Click Here

Singapore is one of the neighboring country that could be an option for a short vacation. Complete with theme park, shopping area and of course a variety of culinary. Previously, I got the article, the presence of a new restaurant founded by one famous chef in the world. Bread Street Kitchen was originally operating in London and now they are presented in Singapore. Chef Gordon Ramsay is one of my favorite chefs who run this restaurant.

We all know he is one of the most famous chef active on several TV shows and moreover he is one of the main judges in Masterchef US. I just watch the show regularly in my spare time. Two days in Singapore would be a fairly short time, I had visited several places and of course also set aside for the first time trying this Chef restaurant.

BSK is lying in Marina Bay Sands on the 2nd floor if I'm not mistaken. The restaurant consists of two floors. Incidentally on the 1st floor is seen there was an event so that public visitors are asked to use the 2nd floor. The restaurant looks still quiet because not yet lunch hour, but make no mistake because every visitor was already made reservations before and highly recommended before coming to this restaurant.

Once inside, we were greeted with friendly and welcomed to sit in the area of the sofa is quite comfortable. Not long after, the staff served a welcome bread with several different types. There were ciabatta, crepes with sesame seeds and fennel seeds then served together with butter. This was a great start.
As an appetizer, I tried the Potted Salt Beef Brisket with grain mustard, piccalilli and caraway crackers. Beef brisket with fresh flavor and tender, a crisp cracker way combined perfectly with grain mustard and piccalilli (a kind of pickle).
The menu I think is amazing is the BSK Short Ribs Burger with Monterey Jack Cheese (cheese coming from America) and spicy shiracha mayo. A beautifully presented burger, a vibrant shiracha mayo color gives a tantalizing appearance. The crisp and soft bun texture blends perfectly, complete with savory patty, cheeses and vegetables.
The next menu is quite popular: Shepherd's Pie with lamb meat processed together with carrots, onions, potato puree and brioche garlic crumbs. The menu is very interesting and must be tried. With a fragrant aroma, beautiful potato color on the top layer covered the lamb meat underneath. With lamb's soft texture and amazing taste.
Overall, this restaurant is truly amazing, with friendly and informative service and a surprising and exhilarating moment, Chef Gordon Ramsay turns out to be present in the middle of the restaurant and approached a customers while enjoying lunch.
By this moment, without any hesitate, we asked the waiter whether able to take a picture with Gordon. Apparently he was welcomed with a friendly and a little chat about this restaurant. With a happy heart, we also selfie with a happy smile.

Black Owl, PIK, Jakarta

Bahasa l English A favorite destination for the Jakarta community, which is famous for its hawker centers, from street food, restaurants to elegant lounge bars. This week, another good news for restaurant and bar fans, Black Owl is back in operation from the previous location in the PIK 1 area, now they are presented new location with a different concept. As soon as you pass through this area, you can clearly see the Black Owl with a black building with an owl logo on it. Seen the parking area is quite large and still not too crowded during the day. Once inside, we will pass through a hallway with a very high ceiling. My suggestion is it's best to make a reservation in advance to save your table. Black Owl comes with a restaurant and bar concept, a very stunning interior with dominant dark colors such as black and dark wooden material throughout the large room. The dim lights look calm and elegant, and what's amazing is the giant LCD screen that stretches to the ceiling. There

Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors
