It's a wonderful weekend, and who doesn't enjoy all-you-can-eat meals? Some of you may have had all-you-can-eat buffets at hotels, or BBQ or shabu-shabu at shopping malls. But what about Korean BBQ with quality ingredients like A5 Wagyu? Well, Hwaro has a Weekend Brunch concept with all-you-can-eat menus.
Let me start with the inside. From the outside, the restaurant appears to be an ordinary four-story facility with plenty of parking. You're already familiar with Jakarta's Senopati district, which is known for its valet parking service. Once inside, the space is truly stunning! An exquisite atmosphere with dark tones and fascinating details, particularly the fabric hanging across the restaurant area that resembles rolling clouds. Ethnic designs can also be seen in different corners.
The first floor is the main eating area, and the higher stories are entirely individual rooms of varied sizes. Each table has a grill, but in keeping with the high-end idea, Hwaro includes a Master Grill to help with meat preparation on the table for the guests.
The weekend brunch menu is large, with more than 50 options offered. Beef selections include Wagyu ribeye, sirloin, oyster blade, Wagyu tongue, A5 chunk cap, A5 rib cab, and A5 top round. The quality of this beef is undeniable, as the chef and skilled crew ensure that every ingredient is used to the greatest standards. Even though I'm not a big fan of meat, the delicate, properly grilled Wagyu beef here is very joyful.
Aside from beef, this weekend brunch offers pig belly, hog collar, and smoked bacon, as well as seafood, particularly the Loligo Squid, which has a unique texture and exquisite sweetness. In addition, a variety of major meals are available, including bibimbap, honey soy chicken, and tangsuyuk. A number of Korean soup dishes are also available as side dishes to white rice.
This weekend brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing a wide selection to sample a variety of foods. Almost every food provided was tasty, although there were a handful that didn't quite work for me, such as the tangsuyuk, a deep-fried pork with Korean sweet and sour sauce that was too rough and dry. Please keep in mind that each meal is prepared to order, and servings are adjusted to accommodate the number of visitors per table.
This weekend brunch costs IDR 650,000++ per person. I believe the price is fairly acceptable. You could compare it to a 5-star hotel, but given the variety of dishes and the uncompromising quality of the meat, Hwaro undoubtedly provides an exclusive all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ experience. It is important to make a reservation in advance; for parties, the private room is recommended. The exquisite design and seating capacity of 6 to 20 are offered here.
