Wow, it's been a long time since I've written an article on
the blog because the activity of visiting restaurants is very reduced during
this pandemic. Most of my food is delivered or almost every day I cook it
myself. This time I visited a restaurant that had only recently been operating.
It should be noted that Fume previously had two coffee shop branches in the
South Jakarta area.
Meanwhile, Fume Kartanegara has a different concept, more
like proper dining, and there is also a bar. On weekends, it is quite
crowded with visitors, they have an area with quite a lot of seating capacity
from indoor to outdoor. Inside the restaurant, there is a calm atmosphere, dim
lighting with a play of colors such as pink, violet, purple and blue. The
ceiling is a unique area with an interior resembling a hall. The bar area also
looks stunning with plant ornaments, the color turquoise is one of my favorite
colors.
The menu is a variety of modern Asian Western dishes, with quite
a lot of variants from the breakfast croissant menu, the main course of grilled
chicken or salmon to ice cream and dessert. This time I tried Salmon Sayur
Asem, a menu that is quite unique. Tender pieces of salmon with the perfect cook, juicy and tender. Served with potato cubes, long beans, baby corn,
and chayote. Then doused with a fairly thick sauce with a sour sensation that
resembles Sayur Asem. This dish is quite enjoyable, with the combination
of perfectly cooked salmon, vegetables, and a savory and sour sauce just right.
It's just that for the main dish the price is Rp. 165,000++ and it looks like there
are only 2 potatoes with a small size. For ladies, it might be ok, but for me, it's not so generous.
Then I continued straight to the dessert dish, Kerinci
Coffee & Brown Creme Brulee. The menu is quite interesting too when I look
at it. Serving creme brulee with a rectangular shape, soft texture, and an ok
moist. Sweet taste that fits the typical creme brulee. Served with
chocolate ice cream which is also my favorite flavor, and berry sauce and some
cranberries. The price of IDR 80,000 is generally quite high for a dessert for
the Jakarta community. But with the serving size, I still recommend you guys
to try it.
For drinks, of course, they serve a variety of coffee as the main drink. I myself am not a coffee drinker but my friend said that coffee with
a high acid level so that the after taste is excessive. But we know that for
coffee, it will depend on your individual preferences, whether you are a fruity
coffee lover or a bold and bitter one. To hang out here is quite a
recommendation, a quiet afternoon or evening with slow music accompaniment also
provides a comfortable atmosphere. For the overall price, the menu is quite
high, almost resembling a high-end Western restaurant. Service is quite ok,
fast serving time.
