November finally arrives, it doesn't feel like the end of the year is approaching. Before welcoming the Christmas month and new year moment, November is also a month of full product launches, new brands keep coming and Halloween themes which just ended last October. Let's see what else events I attend this month.

1. Launching J.co Coffee
Good news for coffee lovers, the presence of new products from J.co which is famous as a doughnut specialist, now they present coffee with practical packaging for customers to carry around. This coffee is not like an instant coffee in general. But this is a real coffee that has been freshly ground and then packaged into a more practical package. There are 6 variants, you can buy at a price Rp 17,000 each or more affordable one box of price RP 70,000. Come on, try it!

2. Opening Lucy Beer Burger Bar

For those who like to hang out in the SCBD area, there is a new option. New collaboration project between Syah Establishment and Lawless Burger with the presence of this brand. With an outdoor area, comfortable couches, an attractive bar and of course a tempting burger. The menus here are definitely different from the existing menu at Lawless outlet, the creation of a new burger that worthy of you to try, of course still offers a delicious sensation of Lawless Burgers that are trending this time.

3.Opening Bensunda

Ruben Onsu has indeed become of the public figures who actively pursue a culinary business, not only him but together with his family, he found founded many food brands spread in Jakarta. This November, they present a Sundanese restaurant with a homey concept that feels more friendly and comfortable. With the concept of All You Can Take where visitors are welcomed to take food provided at the buffet, one takes from the first dish to the last for only Rp 30,000. Amazing, every day the choices of vegetables and dishes will be different.

4. Painting with Benedict

This exciting activity at the weekend is very interesting, supported by Bartega Indonesia which is famous for offering canvas painting activity for both professionals and beginners as well. While enjoying some new pasta menus that are unique, use full wheat ingredients for the pasta dough combine with Indonesian-style cuisine so that you will find a savory to spicy Indonesian-style taste. Don't forget to taste the Speculoos Cake, which is also the latest innovation from Benedict.

5. Les Maîtres Cuisiniers de France

France has become one of the favorite cultures when it comes to food. On November, 5th, Amuz Jakarta presented 3 French Master Chefs namely Gilles Marz from Amuz Jakarta, Fabrice Vulin from the Tasting Room Macau which is awarded as 2 Star Michelin restaurant and Chris Salans from Mozaic Bali. The journey of these three chefs have no doubt, have reliable classic French cuisine techniques combined with modern presentations to produce elegant and classy dining.

6. Soft Opening Grain Traders

Good news for healthy food lovers. Grain Trader is a brand from Singapore that is ready to bring its dishes for healthy food admirers in Jakarta. After operating for two months, in November they are ready to introduce to the wider Jakarta community. A variety of high-quality food ingredients are improvised so it still maintains the good side of food as well as its taste. The menu is very diverse, from beef, tuna, salmon, chicken even lamb, various vegetables to dressing even sambal matah available here. Curious?

7. New Concept Nanny's Pavillon


This one is pretty familiar to the Jakarta community. Previously, they always came with a different outlet theme from the concept of kitchen, garden, sewing room and many more. Now they are presenting a new concept, more modern, and the first branch using anew concept is at Pondok Indah Mall Jakarta. In launching this new concept, they also introduced several new dishes such as one of the mainstay os Baby Dutch Pancake. This German-style pancake has a different shape than a normal pancake that ever seen in Jakarta. Shaped like a bowl with a fragrant buttery aroma, soft and puffy texture and then available with several variants, such as original, nutella and etc.

8. Grand Opening Shu Guo Yin Xiang - Plaza Indonesia

This Chinese hot pot restaurant has indeed become the most popular in Jakarta. From the beginning operating at Mangga Besar area, now they have several branches until the latest one at Plaza Indonesia. An elegant, luxurious concept is seen from the interior of the restaurant. A fairly large area of dining with a corridor that leads to the private rooms. The main dishes are still the same as other branches, but here they do serve a variety of premium ingredients such as lobster, abalone and many more which is not available at other branches. In addition, they will also present a bar and lounge to give a more pleasant experience.

9. Festive Season Collage Pullman Central Park

New Year Eve is closer! This time I would like to give you some recommendations of places to celebrate Christmas and New Year Eve. One of them is this 5-star hotel around West Jakarta. Every year, Pullman Central Park has become a very crowded destination, coupled with shopping-mall that always been a favorite spot for people around West Jakarta. In December, Pullman CP will be presenting several promotions from Christmas Brunch at Collage restaurant on Wednesday, 25th Dec 2019 at IDR 558,000 ++ per person. Many dishes from Christmas Turkey, Gammon Ham, Log Cake, and many more festive menus. 10. Latina Night - The Sultan Hotel Resorts Jakarta

Recommendations to celebrate Christmas and New Year Eve can be here. This 5-star hotel with maintained local brand absolutely has its charm for the Jakarta community. On December, 24th 2019 celebrating Christmas dinner, guests can enjoy a lively dinner at Lagoon Cafe with various international cuisines to local Indonesian dishes. Tom's by Tom Aikens, The Langham Jakarta

Bahasa l English A sunny weekend where the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been getting better lately. Activities in public spaces are getting normal, so we can find some places with crowds. One of them is this restaurant which took a few weeks for me to make a reservation in advance because it was full every weekend. The Langham Jakarta has only been operating this year and has attracted great enthusiasm from Jakarta's community. No exception with the restaurant which was built with a luxurious British concept and developed by a chef from England, Tom Aikens who manages a Michelin Star restaurant in London. Carrying the name Tom's by Tom Aikens with a variety of classic British dishes. The location of this restaurant is on the L floor, the reception area, and arguably the 62nd floor. A restaurant with a large enough area capacity, high ceilings, touches of white, blue, red sofas, and gold-tone lamps give the room an English-style atmosphere. Seen quite crowded visitors

Monogram Bistro, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta

Bahasa l English Almost every month we find new restaurants all over Jakarta. This time i visited Kelapa Gading area which i rarely explore. Monogram is one of the most trending cafes currently operating here. It does not take long to attract the attention of foodies in Jakarta and certainly other culinary enthusiasts. From the outside it looks magnificent with a big signboard that clearly shows the writing of Monogram. While there is a second floor which is a karaoke area with a different brand. Monogram presents a modern concept with dominant dark colors that give a touch of elegance. A large area complete with a beautiful bar and there is a private space decorated with colorful paintings look instagramable. The menu concept offered is a modern theme that is currently trending in Jakarta society.
