Munchies Resto & Bar, Gandaria City, South Jakarta

Even though nowadays Coffee shop has been popular among the youth, but in fact, restaurant with bar concept sure are still up these time. Many bar around south Jakarta sure really alive especially during weekend night.

One of spot i could recommended is spotted in Gandaria City mall. Munchies is located here at ground floor where it is clearly you can see when pass through the food street area.

By the interior i am sure you may see it is obviously selling alcohol drinks. In fact, other than restaurant, this place is more comes out as drinking spot for many customers. During Saturday night, there's a live band music playing accompany you there.

I believe this is not a perfect spot for family dining or children where people could take a smoke or cigarette at there. During this time, luckily they are having promo for the beer. Just by special price i could get two glass of beer.

Such a nice buzzer before take some meal while enjoy the live music. For the food, i ordered the Salmon with Taragon Cream Reduction and Sauteed Mushroom. It served along with salad and mashed potato.

I found out the salmon bit too dry but i take it fine. Mashed potato is quite lovely only it would much better when it more soft texture i think. What great here is the seasoning, such a tasty and fresh sour flavor in it even the salad also very good.

Another dish i ad here is the Munchies Choco Eruption. It is a lava cake dessert served in the tiny mug along with the vanilla ice cream. I think the lava cake is lovely enough, such a milky flavor and chocolate are blended together well done. Sadly, the vanilla ice cream almost ruins the taste of lava cake, nothing amazing sense or rich flavor in it. Just like a usual vanilla cream little bit, and more of sugar.

Overall, i may say this place sure have good ambiance for hang out with mates. Gloomy light bit dark ambiance does a perfect effect for bar concept. The only thing bit bothered me here is i have bee bitten by bunch of bugs when seated at corner side. It sure bothering though, when i realized it, my hand has been turns out some small bumps and it does attracted me much.

Other than that, service is good, food is fine and beer is awesome. I think that is one of best thing i could totally recommended for you while hang out there.
